Money shouldn't be the reason he wants to go to the Royals. We have to at least outbid them. If the White Sox blow him away with an offer (which, as I've said, I expect him to do), that's out of our control.

Rumor has it someone offered up the big cash and Fukudome could sign on the dotted line today. We just don't know who.

Reportedly, a team made a big offer to Fukudome, but nothing has been confirmed. Otherwise, everything's pretty much status quo.
