Sorry if this is repeating, but ESPN just said the proposed though not approved deal is as follows:

Bulls get Kobe

Bulls trade Gordon, PJ Brown, and Ben Wallace

Kings get Gordon and PJ Brown

Kings trade Ron Artest

Lakers get Artest and Wallace

Lakers trade Kobe

Anyone else hear this?

What a retardedly good deal for the Bulls that would be.

they just had bucher on SC and he said the 3 way deal has fallen through

ummm, hello?

What? All the "report" said was that the specific deal that Bucher mentioned fell through. They are all still talking on a new deal.

I know. I had to ask myself if I heard correctly. Bulls steal Kobe away, though the Lakers do save face a bit with that deal. Not championship material, but become much stronger defensively for sure. Kings, I don't know.

Well, they mentioned that the Kings wanted Gordon as a point guard. Why, I dont know, but thats what Bucher said. Anyways, not sure when it happens, but I feel very confident the Bulls get Kobe by the weekend.

Wait, so we get Kobe and plus keep Hinrich, Tyrus, Noc, Deng???

That can't be right. And the Lakers only get Artest and Wallace? That would be a disaster.

Can't be.

This is becoming a huge rumor tornado.

UNLESS THE BULLS SIGNED PJ BROWN TODAY WITHOUT ME NOTICING, THEY CANNOT TRADE HIM. HE IS AN UNRESTRICTED FREE AGENT (for about the third time this thread).

What I'm hearing in LA is that the Kings thing might be dead and the Bulls, Suns and Lakers are talking about a post-Dec. 15th trade.

Bulls trade: Noc, TT, Gordon

Lakers trade: Kobe Bryant, Kwame Brown

Suns trade: Shawn Marion

ETA: These guys are bad when it comes to predicting if a trade is dead but they probably are right that the Suns are in on this.

Mike Bibby is out at least somewhere between 6-10 weeks with a torn tendon in a finger so they don't have a point guard right now.

A guy on RealGM who has some sort of ties/sources in the LA and has scooped a couple of stories in the past before they came out (including the Kobe trade demand) is saying that the Lakers are completely set on getting rid of KB and might even just give in to the Bulls soon.

He feels it's 95% that Kobe becomes a Bull.

Obviously the Bulls would be getting Kobe and the Lakers would be getting Marion, but who else goes where? I would guess Brown to the Suns but that's not enough in return for Marion.

My friend heard this - he told me that Kwame definitely went to the Suns and Gordon to the Suns but he wasn't sure about the rest.

The janitor at my office says that's B.S., it's a 3-way Bulls/Lakers/Portland.

Isn't trading Noc nearly impossible b/c he is a base yr player? Or am I making that up?

He is base year, but that doesn't make it nearly impossible to trade him. We would have to wait until 12/15, though.

You might be thinking of the poison pill provision, which definitely does make it harder to trade players.

Here's the thing though. I don't see the Lakers waiting until December 15th to ship Kobe out. It seems like everyone wants him gone, so I see a deal that happens very, very soon.
