Ouch; MSU 52, IU 27 (final). Another week before the Hoosiers become bowl eligible.

Oh well, 2 of my 3 teams (Ball State and Kentucky) won. Not too bad of a week, especially with one of my teams (albeit my 3rd favorite) knocking off #1.

One of the biggest mental mistakes you'll see. Stunning.

No kidding. If Cal runs the table the rest of the way that play could cost them an NC shot. Unreal.

What exactly happened, for those of us not watching?

The QB needed to throw the ball away to stop the clock and bring on the FG unit for the tie, but he inexplicably scrambled, (presumably?) trying to get a TD. Time expired before the FG unit could kick.

cal had the ball at the osu 15 with about 15 seconds left, and no timeouts left. The QB dropped back, looked around for a few seconds and the scrambled and was tackled in the middle of the field. Game over.

The IU game sucked.

Oh well. We'll get our 6th win sooner or later.

LSU and Cal both lose. Unreal. Here comes Ohio State as the #1 team in the next polls.

And BC 2, and South Florida 3. South Florida didn't have a team a decade ago and now they're one more upset loss away from the national title game potentially.

Down goes Cincy to Louisville.

That leaves:

Ohio State

BC

USF

Arizona State (if they don't lose to Washington)

Hawaii

Kansas

That's all the I-A unbeatens.

This is the greatest college football season ever.

BC will lose a game I am pretty sure, as will O$U. I seriously have no clue. Still can't even predict what will come of the national championship, and I won't be surprised to see a couple of 1 loss teams ahead of South Florida when the polls come out this week.

More than likely it'll take 7 wins to head to a bowl game in the Big Ten.

God I hate sports. I come out of that game not feeling that OU is necessarily that much better than us, but that we shot ourselves in the foot multiple times:

-3rd and 2, Maclin lines up at QB, throws a pick. WHY PINKEL?! It's 3rd and 2 in a tight game and you take one of the top QBs in the nation out. Stupid. That's a play you save for later in the game or when you are up, not when you are in the midst of driving.

-Pig Brown dropped INT. IMO this is the turning point in the game. They went on to score to go up (I don't remember if it was to go up 5 or 11, but whatever). You pick that off, its a touchback, boom, but instead they score and...

-We botch the handoff. I have no words to describe that play. How can you screw up a handoff like that. Gah.

Andre Woodson is the best QB in college football bar none. In fact he is probably the best college QB since Carson Palmer.

Though he may be the best, numerically there are a couple awful close. Woodson has a 65.2 completion percentage with 7.42 yards per attempt and an 18:2 TD:INT ratio.

Erik Ainge has a 67.6 completion %, 7 yards per attempt and a 10:2 ratio.

Brian Brohm is at 66.8%, 9.32 ( ) YPA, and a 20:4 ratio.

I like the fact that two of the three top QBs in the nation (with the possible exception of Brennan depending on how you feel about him) are in the SEC.

I think Woodson will be the 1st QB drafted. Of course, before the season started I did say that Woodson would be a top 10 pick. :)

Unless something changes drastically from now til the end of the season, I'd say you're right (I need to quit questioning Woodson). The combine may change things, but only because it may raise the stock of underperformers (Booty, Henne, etc). It could also help a guy like Matt Ryan who's impressing quite a bit this season.

Well, that was disappointing. You can't win in Norman and commit 4 turnovers.

You guys vs. Tech next week could be a fun game. I suppose you slavers losing consecutive games might be to much to ask.

Honestly if we bounce back we should run the table until the KU game, but after what we did last year after the OU loss I won't be surprised if we go 7-5 again.

Can't wait to hear the local media jump all over Les Miles' ass (deservedly so) for that crap play calling at the end of the LSU game. Congrats to UK and not taking anything away from their win, but that was a complete BS effort on LSU's part.

LSU had a letdown after last week, but I think UK outmuscled them. That was LSU's worst defensive game by far and UK's offense had something to with it. That block by Lyons was my fav. play of the game.

Stupid parity, I hate it.....nobody wants to see South Florida in the national championship game. It's bad for college football due to lack or ratings for BCS games.

Why not? I know its not Ohio State, Florida, Oklahoma, Texas, USC, but thats kinda exciting. It's not like USF wouldn't have earned it. The Big East isn't the SEC but its not the WAC either. If no one watches it, who cares? Just because no one is watching Arizona/Colorado doesn't mean its not compelling baseball.
