I think gameday should be out at Norman for OU-MU. If Mizzou pulls off this win, I don't know what I'm gonna do. We looked awfully good yesterday, which gave me lots of confidence that this team is really good.

And I think Illinois vs. Iowa is actually a mismatch.

Tennessee's back in the top 25! College football has just revived itself to me! :D

Anyway, Mississippi State on the road won't be an easy win, but it's one we should pick up. After that, Alabama and South Carolina will be very good tests for this team again.

Nice feeling to control our own destiny in the East again. Thank you LSU and Auburn. :D

The MU-OU game is on FSN at 5:30 pm CT. It was originally supposed to be a 2:30 start on ABC, but it got bumped for some reason.

I think we can beat OU. It's going to be definitely tough, and I'm not completely expecting a victory, but I think we have the talent to pull it out. As long as we don't get blown out we should be ok in the polls.

FSN Missouri-Oklahoma? Lame. I don't get that channel.

Crappy BC teams have ruined ND's seasons at least twice before (1993 and 2002). Now it's our chance to do the same.

If it was at Champaign, then yes. But Iowa is always tough at Kinnick, so it's going to be closer than what it should be. I still think Illinois wins by a TD.

SIU-Northern Iowa is probably the biggest I-AA game of the year up to this date. If we can go there and get a win, we should go undefeated in the regular season.

As far as NIU goes, I'll be surprised if they win another game this year. They are BAD.

UCLA will somehow find a way to lose to BYE.

I got impressions of Mississippi State as an up-and-coming team late last season. They've been tough to date.

Arkansas needs to beat Auburn. They did not look good against UT-Chatanooga, though the game was never actually in doubt. They were sloppy. First play from scrimmage was a missnap into the end zone for a safety, if that tells you anything. That won't work against a decent team like Auburn.

Agreed about IL-Iowa. Being at Iowa City, and after this big emotional win for the Illini, I wouldnt be surprised at all for a letdown. Like you I think they will pull it out, but it will be a close game.

This might be Iowa's season and if they can hit the Illini hard and make them doubt themselves they might get the upper hand in this one.

I dont think they can get the Illini doubting themselves after the last 2 weeks. The key for Iowa, and any team facing the Illini, is can they stop the run? If they can stop the run, then they force Juice into throwing which isnt pretty. But stopping the Illini's run game is alot easier said than done. Mendenhall is a stud, Juice is a stud when running, and their offensive line is terrific.

I expect the 1st half to be close, and then the Illini to come out in the 2nd half and put it to the Hawkeyes.

But making them sore and thinking about getting hit might do the trick. Doubt themselves wasn't the word I was looking for, apprehensive or tentative.

Not sure if you were watching yesterdays Illinois game, but the Illini are some of the biggest hitters in the conference.

29-37, 404 yards, 6 TD, 0 INT last week:

Now: Holy Cross runs a spread offense, scores a lot of points, and has a really good quarterback

When I was at Holy Cross: No offense, very few points, terrible quarterbacks

So you're the reason they stunk?

could be... when i was down at miami they lost to Washington in 2000, and then didn't lose for another 2 years after I left. Penn State hasn't exactly been the cream of the Big 10 either since 2001.

wisconsin came into yesterday's game knowing exactly what the illini would try to do, and they could do nothing about it. the illini don't rely on tricks or trick plays, they don't rely on long passes that hit infrequently, they don't even rely on a great defense. they rely on shoving the ball down the throat of the defense, and, in wiconsin's case, attacking it's strength.

the illini have probably been made to feel sore enough, but what they thrive on is eating the opposing d-line's dinner.

iowa's going to have to play strong at the point of attack throughout the game. and generally, team's start to wear down in the final quarter or two against a road-grading offensive line.
