So how long into coverage/broadcast on TBS will they mention the following:

-$300 million

-Z's fight with Barrett

-Lou's ejection

Within the first 2 innings of game 1 is my bet.

$300 million will come in the first 5 seconds of the broadcast. The others will follow Bartman and the Goat.

Get ready to see goats running across your screen at every break in the action. You know the networks will do everything they can to play up the curse.

Stupid network idiots.

Yeah, I'm ready for some really good stuff that they've shown countless times

Besides, I always thought once the Cubs signed a Pagan they would have rid themselves of the goat curse.

Regarding TBS in HD for Comcast subscribers, things are not looking good:

http://consumerist.com/consumer/bartman-not-invited-this-time/hey-comcast-cubs-fans-want-tbs-in-hd-right-now-305309.php

Comcast will add TBS HD to their line-up in Boston Tuesday, a day before Major League Baseball's playoffs start, but Chicago isn't getting the same treatment according to reader Daniel.

I can't stand Comcast. Horrible company. If they don't add TBS HD before the Cubs game on Wednesday I'm going to be pretty unhappy.

That SUCKS!

10pm EDT for both games is SO STUPID. Why are you catering to the west coast viewers you frigging idiots? More people will watch the Cubs and Red Sox than any other teams. THOSE games need to be in prime time. TBS IS FULL OF FAIL

god i hate that TBS has the opening round. ESPN was so much better, if only because you could have games on ESPN and ESPN2 at the same time and didn't have this BS scheduling

USA Today[/url]"]The New York Mets' late-season collapse changed the on-air lineup for TBS, whose first-ever MLB playoff coverage includes all four first-round matchups. It made Mets local analyst Ron Darling available.

He'll work the Chicago Cubs-Arizona series, with Dick Stockton, and frees analyst Bob Brenly, who had been scheduled to work with Stockton, to form a three-man booth with Chip Caray and Tony Gwynn. That team will call the New York Yankees-Cleveland series and then the National League Championship Series coverage. (Fox will broadcast the ALCS and World Series.)

Ted Robinson and Steve Stone will call the Los Angeles Angels-Boston series. Red Sox local announcer Don Orsillo and Joe Simpson will call Monday's San Diego-Colorado tiebreaker — which will go head-to-head in prime time with Monday Night Football on ESPN, which no longer covers the MLB postseason — and then the winner's series against Philadelphia.

Where did you see this? I really can't believe that Game 4 would be at noon central with the marathon still going on. It's true that everyone will be done with the north side within 2 hours of the 8:00 start time but still, anyone who lives in the downtown area knows that traffic is just paralyzed from about 8-3 while the marathon is going on. It will really suck for me because I'm running it and I probably won't be done till about 1:30! Oh well, I guess that just means I need to hope for a Cubs sweep!

Hmm...never knew that Bob Brenly was such a highly touted broadcaster.

Damn it, I was looking forward to Orsillo, who actually knows baseball, as opposed to Stockton.

The silver lining is that that schedule is absolutely perfect.

I agree with you on Stockton. My God, I don't know how this guy keeps getting announcing jobs. He is about as brutal as it gets. Regarding Brenly, he's always been a touted analyst. Fox had him announcing LCS series and I think he also might have announced a World Series or two with the two morons.

And yes, I'll say it again. That schedule is awesome.

It's weird that Darling would not be free had the Mets made the playoffs, but Brenly was free even though the Cubs did make the playoffs.

I suppose it's possible Darling would've done radio work for the Mets if they had made it, but that is pretty weird.

Hah.. Hub Arkush thinks the Cubs are gonna have to carry all three catchers. Moron. I know you're a huge Cubs fan, Hub, but stick to football.

He also said it would be "sacrilege" to keep Marquis off the playoff roster (though he admitted it would probably be the right move). How is that anywhere near "sacrilege??"

lawl...Good one liner from Stone just now. A caller called in and mentioned how Hub had said this and how stupid it was.

Stone - "Right. Well, Hub does football."

It was funny at the time, trust me.

Haha, I'm sure it was :)

As for sacrilege.....LOL, the Cards "sacrileged" themselves all the way to a championship last year doing exactly this, so I guess bring on the religious desecration!
