looking at TBS's schedule:

ALL TIMES ARE CT:

Weds, October 3rd - 12:30 PM, 4:00 PM, 7:30 PM

Thurs, October 4th - 2:30 PM, 6:30 PM, 9:30 PM

Saturday, October 6th - 4:30 PM, 8:00 PM

Sunday, October 7th, 11:00 AM, 2:30 PM, 6:00 PM

Tuesday, October 9th, 7:30 PM

Here is TBS schedule... I assume nothing is set in stone yet because some of the start times seem weird

My guess is that the first two days will go like this:

Weds, October 3rd:

12:30 Rockies/Padres @ Phillies

4:00 Red Sox @ Angels

7:30 Cubs @ D'Backs

Thurs, October 4th:

2:30 Rockies/Padres @ Phillies

6:30 Yankees @ Indians

9:30 Cubs @ D'Backs

That's the most ratings friendly schedule given where the series are being played.

+ 1

(maybe switch the BOS/LAA and CHC/ARI games around on Wednesday, but otherwise, looks about perfect from this angle)

I just realized... unless there's something I'm not getting, Boston won HFA for the whole playoffs - should they reach the WS - due to having the best record in AL (& MLB) and thanks to the American League winning the AS Game.

So that means that the LAA/BOS series kicks off in Boston. on the East coast. And that also means that should lock the LAA/BOS & ?/PHI series into the first 2 timeslots on Wednesday, both sites being on EST time. [1:30p and 5p, their respective local times]

So in a long roundabout way, I think Warren Brusstar is spot on with his picks for the games in the time slots he specified; just switch it around to Angels @ Red Sox.

So are they waiting until Tuesday to announce these?

I hope not and it really shouldn't matter whether the Padres or Rockies win tomorrow night.

In 2003, the networks went out of their way to get every Cubs game in primetime, even moving the Yankees to a day game. There's a reason for that. The Cubs are a HUGE draw in the playoffs

Gametimes announced

:wall:

Wed: 2pm CT

Thurs: 2pm CT

Sat: 12pm CT

Sun: 2pm CT

This is wrong, I checked the Yankees and Red Sox sites and they all have day games on there as well. Someone has to play at night.

Wait for the report on MLB or ESPN, Fox Sports blows

That better be the case. I'm going to be furious if the Cubs don't play night games this coming weekend.

There's no way that's right. That would be a 10am start in AZ.

EDIT:

Noon in AZ for the 2pm CT starts. MLB would be shooting themselves in the foot. There's no excuse for us not to be the evening games both nights this week.

Thursday game looks like they would probably put CHI/AZ in at the 9:30 central, that would be 7:30 here.

right... which sucks cause that's 10:30 here in NY

Stop moaning; that'll be 3.30 am in Brussels.

I'll check the box score at breakfast, thank you.

According to Major League Baseball sources, the Cubs games at Arizona on Wednesday and Thursday are likely to start around 9:30 p.m. For the Cubs one guaranteed game at Wrigley Field on Saturday, sources said it was likely to be a 5 p.m. first pitch. Should they play on Sunday, that start is undetermined.

Ok...so here's something else to it..it's coming out soon, though

OK my guy in the DBACK office called me on my drive back from the Tucson office.

He said the times should be coming very soon.

He said the rumor around there was 5:30 on wed and 7:30 on Thur.

We will see.

Now the bad news. Over 5,000 tickets still avail for both games. They are not too pleased in the front office right now.

Shouldn't those games start at 9:35 instead? I know a lot of you might not like the late start but for once it works for me!

Yup. I have the first day of a new job soon. Of course the first day is Friday morning early and I have a 45 minute drive to get there. I really wish the Cubs game wouldn't start at 10:30 here the previous night, but I guess I'll manage.
