YES, I'd much rather stay up later to watch the games than have to cut work to watch them. As much as I love traditional Cubs baseball under the sun, for the playoffs, its night games for me.

It's also past my son's bedtime, so I can sit and watch in relative peace--I can at least drink coffee for a lack of sleep.

Oh thank heaven. When it originally came out that we were going to play at 2 i was about ready to cause harm to some people.

i can live with a 9pm start time.

EEI has just reported that TBS/MLB will announce the start times today for only the first 2 games of each series however, the network has to 'move some programming around' so start times for games 3 thru 5 will not be announced today.

Got this off a Red Sox message board. How hard is it to figure out the time slots and announce it already?

Beautiful!

Although, This most likely means waking up around 9-10am on sunday so i can make it to eh ballpark and get a decent spot to stand. lame.

Solution: Sweep the series so sunday doesn't matter

Sweet, this is going to be an amazing weekend at Wrigley. 5PM, game gets out at 8...hopefully celebrate into the night and then wake up hungover for game 4. I can't wait

The Sunday day game really pisses me off because it means my dad isn't going to be able to make it to the game.

Off-topic question - I know that at some parks, they allow the little soft beverage coolers and permit people to bring their own beer. What's the policy at Wrigley?

Cant bring in beer, but you can bring in plastic bottles and coolers. Obviously, because of this there are plenty of ways to bring in beer.

You can bring in any food you like. You can bring in sealed non alcoholic beverages. You can bring it McDonalds cups.

These I know from experience. I find it hilarious your cannot bring in an open water bottle, but you can bring in a McDonalds cup.

Awesome, thanks. It looks like I'll be drunk by 10am on Sunday and hungover by dinnertime.

This is awesome beyond all words. I'll get to see both games in their entirety and I won't have to miss work.

Kick. Ass.

The only game I'll miss entirely will be game 4.

The schedule actually works out nicely for me as well. I understand the late game for the Phoenix area. I wouldn't like the game starting at 5 PM if I lived in Phoenix. The home field partially determines the times, which is why AZ will have to see the game at 11 on Sunday (if they are in the Pacific zone). If you don't have cable in the Chicago area, will the games be on regular TV?

I seriously can't believe they have game 4 scheduled while the marathon is still going on. People heading down for that game from the burbs need to leave at about 5:00 A.M. to make it. Really sucks for me because I'm running it and probably won't be done till about 1:30 or 2:00 and thus will probably miss the game. It also kind of sucks because I have never run it before and have heard a lot of good things about how many people come out to cheer you on while your running. Now, who's going to be out there instead of watching the game (I know I wouldn't be)?

Oh well, I guess that's all the more reason I need to root for a Cubs sweep!

I will be able to watch all 5 games in their entirety and the only thing I will have to sacrifice will be the first quarter or so of the completely meaningless ND football game. Really couldn't have worked out any better.

Does anyone know where I could get nationwide radio broadcast information about this game? I'm going to be in the car for most of it.

the game tonight (rocks/pads) is on espn radio, so i assume the nlds will be as well. certainly espn radio or westwood one. what i typically do is map out my route, look for the local affiliates, and then program my radio to those channels.

pretty sure that's a big fat 'no' since tbs is running the show (and it was ruled they don't have to show a game in a local market just b/c it's local).
