It's a good thing this guy drives in a ton of runs because his defense allows a ton of runs. He is a guy born to be a DH especially with his attitude and conditioning regimen.

He was 6'2" and 175 when he was 18yo playing SS at low-A. Disappointing to see him end up at 1B in the next few years b/c he's lazy.

You don't get to be his size so quickly just because you're lazy.

That's right. It takes effort to drive to Krispy Kreme, walk up to the counter, pick up 3 dozen glazed doughnuts, drive home, sit down, and shove them into your mouth one at a time!

I added 45 lbs in about 2 months after I quit smoking, partly because I ate everything I could get my hands on but mostly because I'm lazy

I'd give up the farm for him and place him in RF (although I'd rather put Soriano in RF and let Miggy go back to left).

Yep. I would too, all the way down to Soriano in RF.

did you hear the brenly burn on him last night? something like "running over and stepping on third would have taken some effort, so he just decided to make a poor throw to second."

that was freaking gold right there.

Someone quoted that in the game thread. Brenly is awesome.

I know I'm insane, but given the current makeup of the team, I'd rather have Hermida.

They'd both be too expensive for the Cubs to acquire in terms of prospects.

Well, there go your chances for winning the MLB/People Magazine Sexiest Fan Alive contest.

Yeah, you're insane. Cabrera's clearly better. But Hermida would probably actually be a better fit in that he hits LH, is super cheap, and is better defensively.

That was an amazing line from Brenly.

I was loving Brenly's obvious disdain for Miggy's attitude and habits.

He's clearly a great, great talent and I would love to have him on the Cubs right now. You just wonder when he'll get in shape and play like he gives a damn in the field and how long that may take.

As Ping pointed out, he's literally eating (and sitting apparently) his way to 1st base.

Are the Marlins going to get stripped again? In the past, they have run their payroll low for a few years and then when they think they are close, they spend. Are they officially done with the spending thing?

They're trying to lose their way into a new stadium in Cleveland.

Ha, Ha...

I liken to him being part of the SuperSize me experiment
