The pitching matchups still worry me this weekend. I'll be there for all 3, for better or worse. Zambrano needs to get out of his funk against Cincinnati. Arroyo has dominated the Cubs in the past, they got to him a little bit last week, but not too much. Derosa, Floyd, and Ramirez are the only players with decent numbers against him.

 

We need to win 1 game, and the Brewers lose 1.

 

And that's all. If the Pads were to take 2/3, which THEY will need or they're in trouble, then we could get swept and still win it.

 

If they lose tonight....then, if we win ONE game, or they lose ONE game, then we are guaranteed at least a tie, correct?

 

No we would clinch the division.

 

No...I said "OR"...I don't think we win if its just OR....if we win one, and they sweep, its a tie...if they lose one and we get swept, its a tie....right?

 

Yes, that's correct. It's a tie if it's or, and the Cubs clinch if both happen (or if they win 2 or the Brewers lose 2).

It's only one of tho happening. If the Brewers lose today the Cubs magic number goes down to 2. Then if either the Cubs win or the Brewers lose once, it goes down to 1 which would mean the Cubs would, at worst, clinch a tie for the division.

 

I think you're right. One more out, and the Crew would need to sweep with us getting swept to win outright.

If the Brewers can't win tonight when the pitching matchup was actually good for them then........yeah I can't see them winning more than one game this series.

This is seriously unbelievable. We've done everything to tank and the Brewers won't let us. Un-be-soap dropping-leavable

Unbelievable-- we can actually clinch tomorrow!! Almost in the playoffs!!!
