The funny part is that we're here rooting for the team that may very well knock us out of the playoffs if we make it.

Possibly.

Or it could be AZ.

Or Philadelphia.

Or New York.

The scenarios are all over the place right now.

In theory, the Rockies could finish the season with the best record in the NL.

Yeah, forgot about them too.

Whateverm any one of them could kick the Cubs ass.

Can someone please explain to me where soap droppers came from? It must have started over the past month cuz I haven't been game threading during that time.

I HATE Braun.

Enter a certain expletive beginning with f and see what happens...

I did and **** came up.

soap-dropping came from the word filter, which changes f-apostrphe-n into "I dropped the soap!" or something pretty close. So people decided to start substituting soap drop in as many comparable forms to the f bomb as possible.

"The soap-dropping Marlins bent the Cubs over and soap-dropped them yet again."

....but this MILW game is soap dropping good.

Soap drop you, Mothersoapdropper!

it comes from "f.'.n"

Without the periods obviously. It changes it to "I dropped the Soap!"

Instead of looking like a tool every time I got angry, I started saying soap dropping as a replacement. Different forms showed up depending on what form of the F word was necessary.

Hmmm... let me try this then-

These [expletive] Brewer announcers make me want to hurl.

Thanks to that soapdrophead Ryan Braun and his inability to find the ball with his glove.

True, but it beats the hell out of getting knocked around by Florida if it happened.

Didn't quite work. Oh well, I'll be nice now

One of the message boards I frequent has "smurf" as the filter word for the f-bomb. It's quite funny.

TELEVISION ANNOUNCER: We now return to the Smurfs...

(on television screen)

Smurf #1: Hey, did you have a good time last night?

Smurf #2: Smurf-tacular!

Smurf #1: Yeah, I saw you leave with Smurfette.

Smurf #2: Oh man, as soon as we got out of the bar, she started smurfing me.

Smurf #1: Shut the Smurf up!

Smurf #2: Yeah!

Smurf #1: Right in the Smurfing parking lot?

Smurf #2: Smurf-Yeah!

Smurf #1: Oh! That is freaking Smurf!

I wonder if the Marlins could actually give one of the NL playoff teams trouble (other than us, of course -- we'd get swept). I suspect that they would.

They have some pretty good offensive players, especially with the emergence of Hermida. I'd like to think the Cubs would beat them in a series, but that is hard to say with their lack of recent success against them.
