I'm thinking about selling all four of my tickets and then going for NLCS tickets. That way, even if I don't get tickets through the VWR, I'll make a profit and these and will be able to buy NLCS tickets on the secondary market.

What if the Cubs don't make it to the NLCS?

then he'll have made a great deal of money selling tickets to a game the cubs probably lost

Ha, that's a great way to look at it!

In all seriousness though, I'm not sure that that's a risk I'm willing to take. It's not often that people get the chance to go to a Cubs playoff game. It will be hard to get rid of tickets to one.

I am going to game 3! Front row bleachers, in LC! And to boot, we have 4 more bleacher tix to game 4, that will probably be selling pretty soon, paying for our other tix and the trip! I love the cubs!

Oh and one more behind home plate that will be selling. :D

Front row bleachers? Do you have any kids you'd like to put through college on those tickets?

I do have 2 kids so that is an option that we are looking into... :)

According to the Trib, roughly only 7,500 tickets were released for each playoff game.

Thats not that many.

I wonder how the scalpers get so many...

Check out Ebay, alot of the listings are from the same seller.

Some of that may be scalpers who have season tix and have had theirs.

Any idea when the gametimes will be announced? Especially for Game 3 of the NLDS? I imagine it will be one starting at three, and the other starting at 7. Does that sound pretty accurate?

I believe the Game 4 possible times are at 12, 4 and 8. Not sure about Saturday.

Yeah...looking at those prices, it appears I'm going to be watching these on TV. That's cool and all as well.

C'mon guys. For those of you who have more tickets than you need, sell one of them to Vance for what you paid. If anybody deserves to get tickets, it's him. I would much rather a real fan get to go to a game than a bandwagoner with deep pockets. Help this man out!

I think vance has tickets to one of the games already.

Thanks to Mark_R, I'm finally going to Wrigley.

Finally.

Game 4 had better happen.

My thanks to Mark as well!

Now, I need to get me a seat to game one. If not, I'll be packed in at the knot hole!

A quick look at ebay and craigslist this morning shows the secondary market looking like this:

SRO: ~$150

Bleachers: $250-$350 (vast majority are at $300 or above)

200s outfield back rows: $300-$350

500s: $300-$375

My guess is that it's per ticket. Welcome to postseason baseball at Wrigley.

Has anyone got an official word on how refunds will work if needed?

I have print at home tickets, and say game 4 doesn't take place or for some damn reason the cubs falter how refunds will work for all games?

I have an email pending but thought I would ask here as well.

Sweet Jeebus

This makes it unbelievably tempting to reduce the number of people I'm bringing down to one, then selling off the other two to pay for my plane ticket and two days' worth of beer.

Those prices will only go up as the cubs clinch and we find out who they play and when.

Those prices are per ticket. Now, I haven't been watching the final bids on ebay closely, so it's possible that final numbers are down a bit from these numbers.
