In light of some of my new job responsibilities, I'm going to have a heck of time keeping up/watching this game. I'll still discover a way though.

What's this "new job responsibilities" schtick ??? Did they tell you that you have to..... like.... actually teach your students now ????

Just saw this. Due to school choice at the school in which I've worked in the afternoon, I don't have any students there. So, they added a class to my morning school, and now I spend my afternoons serving as a quasi-assistant to the gifted program manager. My duties will include screening, once I've been properly trained, and assisting with generating reports, maintaining compliance, and other duties.

Marquis should be done. Marmol is now up in the pen

If we don't get to the pitcher spot in the order, I bet Lou keeps Marquis out there for another inning.

How many pitches for Lowe so far?

85.

Jones is the cancer of my life.

I was worried that there would be overreacting in the game thread. I'm glad that's not the case.

hey so far this has been a very very tame game thread, cant expect perfection with the Cubs lol

I hate how Lowe isnt even hitting the strike zone. He's kind of wild.

Has been all game...I have no idea why, after the first inning, we didn't make him throw more pitches...

no reason to hit the zone with this Cubs team, they are going to swing no matter what anyway.

Well, at least we didn't let Lowe get into a groove or anything.

Great lineup, Lou.

Its not the lineup that is the problem, its the team in general. They swing at 1st pitches way too much, and things arent going to change this year.

I honestly don't know whats keeping Jacque Jones from being the worst baseball player in the league. He does some of the most mindblowingly dumb things I've ever seen.

I guess he just survives completely on physical ability.

I'll never understand why the Cub pitchers just don't throw the stupid ball down the middle of the plate when Pierre is up. They seem to make him so much better than he is.

They kept hearing about how great he was last year and started to believe it.

Well Neifi Perez is still in the league, right? No way Jacque is worse than him.

Well he did have all those hits you know.

Get him out of here before things get real bad. We are pressing our luck

There's no need to take Marquis out right now. Only thrown 75 pitches (coming into Loney's AB) with 50 of them strikes. He's only allowed three hits and hasn't walked any.

Marquis is starting to fall behind hitters... not good.

We are pressing our luck, you take what Marquis has given you today and say great job and give it to the bullpen
