How's Kendall doing recently? I haven't been paying attention. Where's that Fred guy when you need him.

Hes doing OK with the bat, but bhind the plate, not so much. He has yet to throw out a baserunner in his time with the Cubs, and that not an exaduration.

i'd still keep kendall as the regular starter because he's shown good OBP ability since coming over, but he provides no power and his defense sucks. Blanco is basically useless and shouldn't play the rest of the year. I'd like to see Soto get about 1/3 of the playing time; more if Kendall hits poorly over the next 10 days.

Actually he has technically thrown out at least 1 and I think 2 since becoming a Cub.

As for the bolded, thats awesome

Jesus, what's with the weatherman posting the stats and stretching the pages making them a pain in the ass to read. Seriously, a link works. Me having to scroll sideways doesn't.

I think Fred actually went to high school with Flintstone and has often commented on how hot Betty was.

Having Soto catch against a team with 2 guys that like to run like Furcal and Pierre shows me that Lou might actually have a little confidence in him. Baker would have had Lenny Harris catch instead of Soto because of that reason.

Im not one of the guys who says a catchers D is the most important thing, but honestly with Kendall his non throwing ability is beyond ridiculous. Its to the point basically that if our pitchers walk somebody with just decent speed, or gives up a single, its automatically becoming a double. I know our pitchers dont hold runners on that well, but Kendalls throws havent even been close. I mean for all the talk there was of Barrets defensive shortcomings, his throwing ability was 10x's better than Kendalls. Since I know Lou is going to give Kendall ample playing time, I really think Lou needs to look at the other team and see what kind of speed they have, and determine the catcher based on that. Also, Kendall needs to be taken out of close games in the later innings. Since we have 3 catchers on our roster it makes the most sense.

Kendall, from what I've seen does a nice drop and block but you're right, his arm is very weak and it hurts the team if anyone is smart enough to take advantage. Unless Kendall is doing a 300/380 line he is hurting the team behind the plate. I wonder how the Cub pitchers feel about him and how confident they are with him behind the plate.
