Sorry Murton lovers, but he sucks. He can't hit for power and he can't hit for average. On top of that he's not too bright (swinging at the first pitch after the guy in front of him had a 7 or 8-pitch at-bat.

I'm much more concerned about this anemic offense than I am Carlos Zambrano.

No, Z has been really good over the last two months. This offense is terrible.

 

Might want to check your stats before stating false things.

Might want to check yours. His last two starts have been bad but the 10 before those he was very dominant. Much more worried about the offense than Z.

 

I don't know if I'd call his 7 walk 5 inning performance against the Mets good. 4 bad starts in a row.

Theriot and Fontentot both showed patience that inning...but not the outfielders (Murton and Jones). Maybe we DO need more lil middle infielders on this team!
