What the hell is Z's problem...what a terrible year. Can we take back this freaking contract.

Sorry maybe you like giving $18.3 million a year to a pitcher with control issues and a 3.88 ERA who saves his worst performances for the stretch of a pennant race, but I pass.

His worst performances were in April and May, but I understand your frustration

I wouldn't exactly call the second most wins in the majors a terrible season, but it should certainly be better.

Wins....Yippee!

I can't believe how bipolar some of you are towards the Cubs. One minute you love Z, the next you say he's not an ace. I can't imagine you guys with your families

But what do I know, we all love our Cubbies I guess.

Wins? Really, wins?

Wow, if Z could have gotten their pitcher out, this game would be tied.

I'm much more concerned about this anemic offense than I am Carlos Zambrano.

You arent concerned about your supposed ace having an almost 4. ERA?

Don't worry, Craig Monroe will be there soon.

How is it bipolar to say Z has major control issues and hasn't been the best pitcher on the team this season (aka not an ace - he has a 4.00 ERA). The criticisms are coming now that he's making $18 million a year.

The question is, do you really want to take back the contract?? Seriously, Is this game the one that sealed it for you.

7.04 ERA in August (23 IP)

5.77 ERA in April (34.1 IP)

4.72 ERA in May (34.1 IP)

So nice to have an ace who consistently walks people, meltsdown, and cant pitch past the 6th inning on alot of days.

So how long before a new "Is Z Hurt" thread?

Z's fastball topped out high (about 96), but once again his movement was more right-to-left than up-and-down. Makes many of his pitches more hittable.

How are we not winning this game? This is pathetic.

We have no runs, they have four and their pitcher hit a two run homer.

This really sucks.

If (and that's a BIG if) the Cubs win this division, it won't be because they were the best team, it'll be because they were the team that sucked the least.

This is hilarious. Sunday night at least 5 people were furious the game was rained out because Z had no-hit stuff and was set to dominate. 90% of the people on this board were happy about his signing.

4 runs over 5.1 innings later and we've had 312 "he's not our ace" "glad we get to pay him 90 million" "good thing the new contract straightened his head out" comments.

NO, obviously I'm overreacting to the emotions of the game. Duh. I don't know why people call out such obvious comments like mine

No, Z has been really good over the last two months. This offense is terrible.

Dominant stuff or not, for the stuff that counts, he has a 7.04 ERA in 23 August innings. Not exactly where you want your ace during the stretch run of a close pennant race.
