Well at least I know about the loss now, and not right before bed.

 

For some reason I handle day losses better :) I can go home and do something else, forget about the game.

Monroe deal is 100% due to Murton's lack of production, IMO.

 

And Jacque's and Floyd's and, until recently, Ward's. Our OF's lack of power is laughable.

 

Yeah but he isn't going to take any AB's away from those guys. They'll still get the AB's against most RHP.

Murton (like most of our lineup) has been dreadful against LHP and that's what Monroe will be doing. If Murton had produced this year against lefties like he had in the past, I doubt we make this deal. Hendry said as much today.

Eh, it evens out as the Cubs won the game where the Giants looked better on paper (Lincecum vs. Marquis). And Cain has arguably been better than Z this season.

Go figure. Monday we get 5 runs on 7 hits. Yesterday we get 4 runs on 6 hits. Today we get 1 run on 8 hits.

Cain has been good this year, the giants havent score more than 5 runs fors him since june

He's pitched well. His ERA is lower than Z's. He plays for a crappy team that doesn't score a lot of runs, which is why his record is bad. His record is a reflection of how poor the giants offense is, not his pitching.
