Another nice ab from Lee. Anytime he wants to start hitting would be nice.

You mean like the .304/.360/.474/.838 he's put up over the last 7 days? Not great numbers but not terrible either

I really wish he was capable of picking the team up for a month like Sosa used to. Would have made losing Soriano less painful. Even when Lee is going well, it doesn't seem like it.

Hey Aram, its ok to not swing at the 1st pitch every AB.

It was probably the same pitch that everyone curses Lee for NOT swinging at.

It doesn't matter if he swings at a first pitch if it's a good pitch to swing at. That pitch looked down the middle.

Riot can be incredibly good at SS sometimes.

He was like that at LSU. He would make some spectacular plays, but he often tried to do too much. Bertman once said that Theriot would make a cup of coffee nervous.

Chicagoans, there is a tornado watch in Cook County. Have no idea where the tornado was spotted though

Tornado Watch/Warning has more to do with the type of weather pattern than actually spotting a tornado. If a system has the right elements for a tornado, then the watch/warning will go out, regardless of whether or not a tornado has actually been spotted.

doesn't watch just mean the conditions are right for a tornado? warning means they've spotted one.

It's actually a tornado warning which is worse than a watch. The NWS put it out because there looked like there was a tornado on the radar in Wheaton:

A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 400 PM CDT FOR NORTHERN DUPAGE AND NORTHERN COOK COUNTIES...

* AT 312 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR CONTINUED TO INDICATE A TORNADO NEAR WHEATON...AND MOVING EAST NORTHEAST AT 45 MPH.

THE TORNADO WILL BE NEAR... THIS STORM WILL CROSS INTERSTATE 294 NEAR ELMHURST...JUST NORTH OF THE EISENHOWER EXPRESSWAY BY 325 PM CDT.

If I remember correctly a watch is if the conditions are correct, and a warning means a tornado has actually been spotted in the area.

edit: err.. I'm a little slow.

Look like Cain going to have a ugly but effective game. It's got that flow so far.

Didn't he pitch OK till the 4th last time?

Correct. But in this case, the warning is not based on spotter information but radar formations which aren't always indicative of a tornado.

wow it just got REALLY dark outside.

i heard there are tornado warnings in Chicago?

I dont know about Chicago but the storm that just came thru the central IL area was crazy. Ripped roofs off houses and knocked a bunch of power lines over, some of the hardest winds Ive ever seen.

Outshined is right about watches though. You guys are under a tornando warning. A tornado watch means conditions are ripe for a tornado but there haven't necessarily been any. A tornado warning means a tornado has been spotted. Watches tend to cover larger regions while warnings are localized.
