amazing what a couple of bad starts against the best offense in the league will do to people's perceptions of the starting staff.

 

not that I'm one of the "OMG THE SKY IS FALLING" about the starters. Maquis, Marshall and Hill have been very inconsistent for awhile and when those guys don't have it, it tends to get ugly.

 

Hill & Marshall I believe can get it together, Marquis I'm not so confident about.

Well game threads are clearly hyperbolic by nature, some people just go to a new and profound level.

 

I'm convinced that many people expect us to:

 

Never let a batter get on base (let alone score a run)

Never ever go through an inning without reaching base and/or scoring at least one run every inning.

Never make an error

Have everyone's OPS near 1.000

Never have an off day/night

Never lose a game.
