I would have liked to see Marshall drill someone after Rammy and Floyd were drilled. Intentional or not, your gotta send a message.

 

Ramirez wasn't drilled, his jersey got grazed.

 

I don't agree with putting guys on base for free when the SP can't get outs.

 

At the time it wasn't obvious that Marshall had nothing. But the fact remains, two of your guys got hit. I would have brushed Rollins back at a minimum.

So, you're comfortable with Hill, Marquis and Marshall starting a playoff game?

Well only one of them will.

 

I wouldn't want to see any of them start right now. The Cubs would be put in a position where they would absolutely have to win in the games where Z and Lilly started. However, the other team will be throwing their top 2 pitchers as well. The offense isn't that potent and I'd feel better if they had one more starter that was more dependable.

Theriot made a diving stop and threw from his knees. The throw took a hop and Lee couldn't scoop it.

 

It was just a tough play. Theriot probably should have eaten the ball since it would have been hard to make a great throw from his knees.

Hill=Started off well but sucks now

Marshall=Sucks now.

Theriot made a diving stop and threw from the ground, it was probably a throw that Lee is capable of grabbing but it was tough play on both ends.
