IIRC, isn't the Phillies bullpen terrible? If so, we still have a good chance.

 

There is no guarantee we see their bullpen.

 

the guy coming in is a rookie starting pitcher, one we've never faced...

 

It's possible the guy finishes the game out.

Haha, awesome.

Marquis does kinda suck.

 

I'm not the biggest fan of Marquis but he has a 106 ERA+ and a sub 4.25 ERA. Not too shabby for the fifth best starter in the rotation.

 

And who was on the trade market to acquire?

Santana, just ask him. I agree we had to stay with what we had. I just am not a huge Marquis fan. He gets worse as the year goes on.

Yeah, only Pittsburgh, Houston, and Cincinnati have worse in the NL.

I just got in - why is Lohse out and Eaton in?

 

Despite only surrendering 1 run, he looked pretty bad and he did get hit with a Jacque line drive to end the 1st so it's possible he's hurting.

Durbin has a 6.30 ERA this year so there is no reason why the Cubs shouldn't be able to do something off him. I think we might have to wait until the third inning though when real hitters (sans Soriano) come up.

We are down 4-1 with the wind blowing out.

Most would think we should come back but they don't know the amount of homers we have hit in the past month.

 

this just in: You don't have to hit a home run to score 4 runs

Jones hit a ball off Lohse's forearm in the first. Eaton was just pinch hitting.

 

Lohse got hit by a line drive. I think durbin will end up being the pitcher while Eaton was just taking the AB.
