amazing what a couple of bad starts against the best offense in the league will do to people's perceptions of the starting staff.

 

not that I'm one of the "OMG THE SKY IS FALLING" about the starters. Maquis, Marshall and Hill have been very inconsistent for awhile and when those guys don't have it, it tends to get ugly.

 

Hill & Marshall I believe can get it together, Marquis I'm not so confident about.

 

In Marshall's four July starts he allowed 2, 2, 1, and 1 runs.

 

This is only his third start out of 13 in which he's allowed more than 3 runs and more than 2 earned runs. I don't see how he's inconsistent.
