That collision looked like it was Floyd's fault.

 

How so, by trying to step on first base? Looked to me like Morris's foot was in the middle of the bag...

Their upper bodies collided. It looked like Floyd was running well within the baseline though the view on the Giants broadcast wasn't the best. It didn't look like Morris was in the baseline at all.

What happened?

 

Molina thought the pitch was going to be a slider, but it ended up being a fastball. He was hit in the shoulder with the pitch. The ball rolled to in front of the giants dugout and molina had no idea where the ball was. Morris had to run and get the ball. Floyd ended up scoring from 2nd. Fontenot went from 1st to 3rd.

They need to try to get another inning or two out of him if they can though. Otherwise the bullpen will be a little tired going into the weekend.

 

Also, pinch hitters are not plentiful on the bench. Fox, Pagan, and K. Hill. If you use 1 of the 3 in the 3rd, you have very little flexibility whatsoever later in the game.
