Some interesting stuff from Cubs.com

Thursday's crowd of 40,198 pushed the four-game series total to 161,374, a franchise record for a four-game series. The previous high was 159,461 set April 16-19, 2004, against Cincinnati.

And they saw some history.

Bonds: "I was hoping they would throw those home run balls back like they said they would but they lied."

I gotta hand it to him, that's a nicely sarcastic comment.

I'd like to know who "they" are, and when "they" said it, and "where". He creates lies just to BE an egotistic moron.

Who's stupid enough to throw one back anyway? It can net you a brand new car, maybe 2 brand new cars, plus tax, plus insurance for 2 years.

You're just looking for reasons to hate Barry. In case you weren't aware, Cubs fans in the bleachers yell at the opposing players all game talking to them, etc. I'm willing to bet my car that he was pestered like any other player

Well, even if the fans in the left field bleachers were heckling him and said they'd throw it back, he has to be pretty stupid if he didn't realize his homeruns were hit to right field and center field...not where those fans would have been.

He probably was just making it up. I just thought it was an interesting, sort of funny comment. I'm still not recognizing Bonds' faux home run title. Not ever.

It's pretty obvious that he was joking...it was just a good joke poking fun at the bleacher bums.

Yeah. I mean, I hate bonds as much as (probably more than) anyone else. But, I even thought that was pretty funny. He was just joking, don't crucify him for that. There are plenty of other things to do that, for.

In fairness, he was joking. He laughed and he was actually being playful with the media. I don't know if they're showing it on ESPN, but locally Comcast Sports played it a few times this afternoon.

He even made complimentary comments about Chicago and the fans immediately after that comment.

If Jock has actually turned the corner with his hitting and has finally become worth a crap again, that would be absolutely glorious.
