So, I have decided to treat myself to following a professional baseball team for the last 5 months of the season. Hey I have earned it.

Tonight the Boston Red Sox fell 8-4 to the tribe. Dice-K didn't have his best stuff tonight.

Mike Lowell smacked his 10th HR of the season. He currently has an OPS of 936. Who saw that coming?

JD Drew went 2-4 as he looks to get back on track.

the red sox are a rival?

no, Soriano12 is trying to bandwagon onto a good team, where we know he'll keep watching the Cubs anyways

I wish I could actually get interested enough in another team to make me forget about the Cubs for even a nanosecond, but I can't. The only slight respite I get from being a Cubs fan is the modicum of joy I take from seeing the Yankees circling the drain with the highest payroll in history, and white sox and Cardinal losses.

if the Cubs want to suck, I'll root for the Pirates. IT's been a real long time since they were any good, and, at present, they are more fun to watch

And Gorzellany's from my hometown...though he went to the rival high school

...

Good thing it's the Pirates and I won't have to worry about it.

Ah refreshing to see a good old fashion beanball war and brawl with, and this is most important, another team.

ARod is in a mood this week. They dust him again like that and he might go out to the mound with the bat.

Who knew the Farns wasnt the craziest pitcher the Yankees have? That kid Proctor is the limit. Youklis looked like John Malkovich with that crazy look in his eye after he got dinged.

Mussina v. Schilling tomorrow. Wow, just go ahead and call in the National Guard now. Both of those guys will throw at people in a heartbeat. Should be good and entertaining, especially if Lowell's wrist injury is bad from the HBP.

And one last note, a major shocker. JD Drew got hurt with a pulled hammy.

Haha. Anyone see all the Red Sox fans near the 3rd base dugout who put on blonde-women masks when Arod came to the plate. I have to hand it to Red Sox fans. They sure do know how to taunt opposing players.

And images of the Boston fans taunting A-Rod:

And people bash the Post's journalistic integrity.

I love watching the Red Sox play. They are such a good team. The fans are also great. The Red Sox just scored 5 runs to take the lead over the Yankees and now the fans are chanting "Where is Roger?"
