I better not hear the words "tip your cap" come out of Lous or Eyres mouth.

The only thing that should be coming out of Eyre's mouth is "Sorry I suck. I retire."

Nice job ARam. Good patience

No need for patience right there. He got a pitch he liked and hit it to the wall

Patience is NEVER a bad thing, IMO. It was the guys first pitch in the game.

I agree patience is never bad, however with Aram he got a pitch he liked and drove it cant really complain.

On NSBB, there's always a reason to complain. It's in the User Agreement.

It's basic baseball. No reason not to take the first pitch in that situation. It's not like the guy grooved a fastball, IIRC. Eh, whatever.

I just rewatched it-a fastball right down the middle. Ramirez hit the best pitch he was going to see in that at-bat.

Maybe, maybe not. Regardless, if/when the Cubs lose, it definitely won't be because of that. JMO, but I've never really seen the value in swinging on 0-0 counts.

Floyd is coming in to pinch hit. That means that Blanco is our only guy left on the bench.

Marquis and Z can be used to PH.

Leadoff walks are nice.

So how are the Cubs going to blow this opportunity...double play...maybe a hit, a botched sac bunt, then a double play? Either way, it has to involve a double play.

What? Lou using all of our bench by the ninth inning, leaving us without a single pinch hitter (and no, Marquis doesn't count) in the case of somewhat-likely extra innings? No way....

It was a good pitch to hit, and fundamentally the first pitch is often the best pitch when the bases are loaded. It was a good decision by Ramirez and he hit the ball really hard.

Why not just 3 Ks?
