We had a chance until Lou decided to pull Hill after 69 pitches in the 6th.

I didn't see the first part of the game. Why was Hill pulled so soon?

If, and that's a big if, the Cubs get to the tenth, they'll have Theriot, Lee, Barrett up.

 

so you're saying in this scenario, that there will be a groundout, single, then double play?

 

Probably a pretty good bet.

Yeah.. the game had no score... and Hill isnt a great hitter. I would've probably done the same thing.

Pretty much.

 

Tie game, Ward came in to pinch hit with runners in scoring position. Basically a desperation move to break the shut out.

I'm guessing there wouldn't be many good managers who'd make that move knowing what type of bullpen we have this year.
