And so we come to our Bulls again. Can they get a post scorer? Can they get an inside presence? Can they get a star, seemingly the missing piece against the Pistons.

There'll be talk this summer about Kevin Garnett, Jermaine O'Neal, Pau Gasol, Zach Randolph, Drew Gooden, perhaps Andrew Bogut—if the Bucks get Greg Oden—Darko Milicic, Marcus Camby and perhaps Amare Stoudemire if the Suns lose to the Spurs.

Knowing what you do now, what would you be willing to give up for players like those? Or should the Bulls just take the draft pick, re-sign everyone and keep going?

Before we worry about all of this, Congrats to the team on an awesome year. With everyone growing up a bit next year and most likely adding at least one good player, odds are we are only going to get even better.

agreed. if we avoid another 2-9 start, the division should be very winnable

You guys didn't waste any time here.

We took a little more time than Dallas.

I want a scoring big man so bad. But I don't want to give up any of the core to get him. Deng, Gordon and Hinrich aren't easily replaced. Would have been so easy had the Bulls just drafted Brandon Roy last year.

Was it even possible to get Tyrus and Roy?

Nothing that was discussed, I don't think it was possible unless they parted with something else (this year's pick; Gordon, etc.). They had 2 and 16. They traded down from 2 to 4 for Tyrus and up from 16 to 13 for Sefolosha. Roy went 6.

And I'd rather have Roy than Gordon any day of the week.

And is Zach Randolph really available like killthegoat's link says? That'd be pretty cool.

(I'm surprised the Blazers would do that - Randolph, Roy and Aldridge is a nice start.)

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the Blazers front office wants to shop Randolph. They don't really care for his attitude and I can see them trading him.

Why oh why would the Suns trade Stoudamire?

Serious cap issues. I suspect they'll try to trade Marion first.

Yi Jianling, please.

Hoping for Hawes, myself.

Not a fan?

Yeah, I'm a huge Hawes fan - he's my favorite of the big guys likely to be available around 9. Given his talent and ceiling, I'd think Jianlian would go higher than 9 and he'd be a welcome addition to the team.

But for now, I'll assume the Bulls will win the lottery on Tuesday and get Oden. :)

Anybody have some info they could give me bout this guy? Ive seen his name mentioned but havent ever really heard about him. Thnks

Read Chad Ford's piece about Yi. Doesn't appear to be a softy like Bargnani, nor a total workout wonder like Skita.

Looks to be the real deal.

TwinCities.com[/url]"]Don't think the Chicago Bulls aren't glad that the Timberwolves a year ago never seriously considered their offer of Luol Deng (22 years old), Tyson Chandler (24) and Chris Duhon (24), plus two first-round draft picks (one of which the Bulls ended up using for Tyrus Thomas, who is 20), for Kevin Garnett.

The Bulls, who have a promising future with those players (who also happen to be good citizens), wouldn't come close to making that offer to Minnesota again.
