Cisco Field - Oakland Athletics

Citi Field - New York Mets

Nationals Park - Washington Nationals

Minnesota Twins New Ballpark

New Yankee Stadium - New York Yankees

I know I've made this poll before, but it was a while ago. There have been newer plans and approvals since then.

Cisco Field - Oakland Athletics - I like it. It seems like a unique setting. I can see a home run ball go onto the street, much like Wrigley Field. You can see what I mean in Photo Gallary 2 in the link I gave above. There's also seats on rooftops accross the street. Impersonation, much? Maybe Hendry will now try to copy Billy Beane's style of creating a team...

Citi Field - New York Mets - The New York Mets need a new ballpark. Shea Stadium isnt a great place to play or watch a baseball game. Good riddence. As for Citi Field, it's okay. Nothing special. It falls into the cookie cutter category.

Nationals Park - Washington Nationals - I think they can also use a new Park. RFK isnt also a great place to play baseball either. As for the park, nothing really special here, either. Looks like another cookie cutter.

Minnesota Twins New Ballpark - Minnesota Twins - Another team that can use a ballpark... And this one looks quite good. What doesnt next to the Metrodome? The park - Like the shape of the roof and the grandstands. Good outfield also. Will be a HUGE improvement over Metrodome.

New Yankee Stadium - New York Yankees - Oh my god. I really dont understand why the Yankees need a new ballpark. The current one looks like it's in fine shape to me. It's full of so much history, and I just dont understand why they have to tear it down. I can understand why Mets need a new park. Their old stadium is tearing apart. Isnt there something better the City of New York can spend $200 mil. on? And a $800 mil. from the Yankees for a combined $1 billion for a new ballpark that looks near identical to the old one?

I'm stuck between Cisco Field and Minnesota Twins new park. Both look great... But I'll have to go with Cisco. Just has a special feel to it.

I don't like any of them.

The thing about those parks is that it is virtually impossible to get any air circulating. Yankee stadium is one of the worst venues to watch a game. It's a stagnant sesspool in the summer. At least Shea breaths.

All those stadiums suck for fans.

Give me a ball park that breaths.

Citi Field looks like they just took parts of other parks and put them together.

How can you tell from the concept drawings how well the parks are going to ventilate?

I'd pick Cisco, but they all look pretty bland.

Also, I think all new ballparks built in the northern half of the country should at least have a retractable roof. Open stadium in the twin cities in the spring? Good luck with that attendance. Yikes.

I remember when the Minnesota Twins ballpark was first proposed, it had a retractable roof. Looks like plans changed.

I'm not looking forward to any stadium located in a city that is basically a parking lot with a mayor.

EDIT: Somebody tell me you know what I'm referring to.

That's a shame.

Cisco looks pretty cool... and the view of the skyline at the Twins' new park will be nice. The others are sort of blah, and you're right, it's ridiculous that the Yankees - richest organization in American professional sports - are building a new ballpark.

If the Twin's stadium doens't have a retractable roof the yare going to have a hard time in early April. May be a bit to chilly to play baseball.

It's ridiculous that they are building one, or ridiculous that they are getting public funding?

Yankee Stadium and Shea both suck, so I'm looking forward to new ones. I'll be interested in going to DC to watch a game. I'll probably never visit the others.

Is it just me or does Cisco seem to resemble Camden Yards?

It really does, but thats not surprising as Camden was one of the original "new cookie cutter" styles that are becoming prevailant, but its also one of the best.

Can I vote for the new Cowboys stadium?

It's awesome, too bad it's being wasted on the Cowboys, though. :P

I'm going to have season tix in that new stadium.

I hate to see the old gal go, but at least they incorporated the classic roof design into the new place.

Yeah, I'm sure the TV networks just LOVE that the high contrast sunny/shade nightmare will be back in the new stadium

I dunno, I'm just not excited over stuff like this any more. I guess I would have to say the Twins new place but you never know until the place is built. Great America and Busch III were supposed to be a lot better than they were until (some or all) public money got pulled and the places had to be scaled back. Great America sucks a** and Busch III is kind of "meh".

I hate the big deal over Yankee stadium. It the field legends played on, but the stadium was gut rehabbed in the early 70's.

Shea is a complete dump. It will be interesting to see if all the animals in NY don't trash the new places.
