It's a $28 million contract, so he'll get just under $19 million.

That's an insane price to pay for 150 innings.

Just think of what they'll be willing to pay for Zambrano.

Instead of the Fantasy League perspective how about looking at the implications for the Cubs. This means Clemenns won't be pitching for our rival Cardinals or Astros... which gives us a much easier path at the playoffs. I know most of us don't think the Astros have much of a chance anyway but this sure is nice nonetheless.

Actually, it wouldn't be so bad. The Cubs always play well against Clemens. Jacque Jones hitting that home run to straight away center at Minute Maid off him after he plunked him in the back in his last AB still brings a smile to my face. Clemens will give the rest of the Central a few more losses, and the Astros are going to be a non-factor with or without him anyways.

I'm getting sick of this attention whore, can't MLB just ban him from baseball.
no. Wait i wish they would, wont be surprised if hes in his 50's and is still pitching.

The age has to catch up to him one of these years. Here's to hoping it's this year, and the Yanks just threw millions away.

Going into that division, the hitting, hmm i think it could.. or he just might dominate.... and the hitters of the Yanks cant score a run.. (just like the astros)

If you've won the Cy Young Award seven (!!) times, you likely will be a unanimous 1st ballot HOF-er, and you can still pitch in the big leagues with an ERA consistently under 2.50 then you know what? You can do whatever you want. Clemens is one amazing dude.

Yeah, but he's a jagoff.

Very very true. I hate that guy.

On what grounds? He's not doing anything against the rules, and as long as someone is willing to sign him on his terms he can get away with it.

Yeah, you'd have to change the rules "no FA can sign after Feb of that year". But I doubt it, because there are FA that are still floating around besides Clemens who would hate that. Players Union would never allow it. So Clemens gets to be a prima donna all he wants.

Whatever, atleast he's not in our division. We won't have to worry about the Astros too much.

Very nice.

I don't get why people hate him. Jealousy I guess.

Hate is too strong a word. I'd say more like.......irked at him.

If you want to play, then great. Be there in Spring Training like everyone else.

Just looking at the money, he'll supposedly be making $19million. He'll probably make about 19 starts. That's $1million per start for a guy who doesn't care enough to be there when everyone else is.

I'm tired of his act, that's all. I hate very few people, and almost no one who I don't personally know.

I hope the Yankee offense craps out on him when he pitches like the Astros did last year. He steals headlines for doing nothing. When there are amazing things happening in baseball, he steals the headlines by showing up at a baseball game. He steals them by saying "I'm not sure yet". He steals them by saying "I'm going to decide by the end of may".

That isn't news. He knew damn well he was going to play. He's selfish and extremely self-centered. I'd hate to have a guy on my team who doesn't have to travel on the road with us and gets special treatment just because he's a legend. Sure, he'll be going to the HOF real easy and his talent is astounding, but it's ridiculous how much the media fluffs this guy. Also, no pitcher on God's green earth is worth that much. I really hope for impending doom on the Yankees organization and Roger Clemens.

i hate both roger clemens and the yankees more than anything. 1. the yankees ruin the game for the fans because they have to pay for this BS. and 2. i hate clemens because he is going to be getting 28 MILLION DOLLARS. and he came 1 month late. he is a bum, old man, and i hate him. i hope he gets injured and is forced to retire.
