Golden State celebrated way too much. I know it was a big win and huge upset, but come on. It's the first round...you still gotta win 2 more series just to make it to the finals.

Are you kidding me? This is arguably the biggest upset in the history of the NBA playoffs. I don't think the Warriors are really thinking NBA finals at the moment. A top seed celebrating like that would be a bit much but for a huge underdog, there's nothing wrong with it.

Is it possible to celebrate too much when you're an 8 seed that just eliminated the 1 seed?

So I guess the Cubs celebrated too much when they beat Atlanta a few years back? Ridiculous. That team hadn't won a playoff series in well over a decade. Then they beat the "great" Mavericks.

And they have a playoff history about as illustrious as the Cubs have post-WW 2.

I understand what you're all saying, but crowd surfing? Seems a little overboard to me.

I didn't see it but that's awesome.

As expected, the talk on Mike & Mike barely mentioned the Warriors. It was 100% about Dirk, how he chokes, how he can't be the man, how he's not capable of being a leader, etc. etc.

I only listened for an hour or so, but I didn't even hear them mention the Warriors celebration.

Want to get away?

*DING!*

The look on his face is simply priceless

I seem to recall having that look on my face more than a few times as a Cub fan.

I heard them mention the Warriors quite a bit. They have all week.

While I'm not really too surprised -- figured the series was going seven and Utah has looked better over the past few games -- I actually picked Houston to advance to the Western Conference Finals. I was never overly impressed by the Mavericks and thought the Rockets matched up well with them.

That said, I think Utah becomes very dangerous. They should handle Golden State and especially if Phoenix beats San Antonio, the Jazz have a great chance at the finals -- they've had the Suns number all year.

Was nice to see Dee get some meaningful minutes and make a contribution.

That said, it's unfortunate the Warriors lost. I can see this series going seven.

What a crappy day of basketball.

If there's one argument I hate hearing right now (and will have to hear about for at least 3 or 4 more weeks - at least through the Western Conference finals) is that the NBA should reseed the teams. Now, I don't necessarily hate reseeding (though I wouldn't implement it), rather I just hate the reasoning some people are using. I've heard a couple times how horrible it is that the Suns and Spurs are playing in the conference semifinals and should be playing in the conference finals.

Now, this isn't like Dallas and San Antonio playing in the conference semifinals last year after having the two best records in the Western Conference. The Suns and Spurs are the #2 and #3 teams and would have played anyway had Dallas beaten Golden State. Had Dallas advanced, nobody would be saying a single word about how it is a shame that San Antonio and Phoenix had to play in the conference semifinals.

Also, the other reason why I don't want reseeding is it wouldn't be fair to the underdog. Hey, guess what #7/#8 seed, you just beat the #2/#1 seed in the first round and do you know what your reward is? The #1/#2 seed. Have fun. :thumleft: If a big underdog like the Warriors this year can actually pull off a huge upset like that, they shouldn't be penalized for it - which is essentially what would happen by making them play the Spurs instead of the Jazz (in GS's case this year).
