outside of half a dozen guys, this Braves team has turned into a total no-name ballclub. Who the heck are these guys?

Mostly youngsters and some career journeymen (Yates in this group). Their payroll has dropped drastically the past few years giving them the need to try to catch lightning in the bottle.

well clearly no one goes to their games anymore

The Braves have a pretty good team.

The rotation after Smoltz and Hudson is pretty weak. Offense and bullpen are nice, though.

Chuck James is very solid, a better pitcher then Horatio Ramirez. And Kyle Davis has a chance to be a very solid #4-5 pitcher in the majos. So, I would call the pitchers after Smoltz/Hudson "pretty weak", but I wouldn't call them a "strength" in 2007, either.

I don't question their talent. I question whether they can pitch at a high level consistently. Neither has shown that yet. I would love to have either on the Cubs, though.

I will say though, the offense and bullpen are good enough that they don't have to have great starting pitching. I just worry about them in the playoffs when starters are far more valuable. Of course then, they'll have Smoltz and Hudson as two of three.

And Ramirez swings at another ball in the dirt. How many times have we seen that.....
If you're talking about Aramis, not that many

You must be joking. Aramis swings at just about every breaking ball on 2 strike counts, no matter what the location is.

You can check BB% and BB/K if you would like too.

Doesn't matter whether he K's or not, he still will swing at bad 2 strike pitches and if he happens to make contact its usually weak and in the infield. Doubt you have stats for that.

don't be hurt

What happened? I'm watching on Gameday.

Hill slipped and fell while pitching. He appears to be ok as he Kd Edgar.

He's okay? PLEASE say he's okay...

Four fractured vertebrae. He might never walk again.

That's not so bad. I thought you were going to say that they'll spend three years expecting him to come off the DL any time now.

You don't either.
