Sosa is back starting tonight, but is 0-2 with 2 ground outs this far tonight.

are u watching? how's he look?

I missed his first AB. His second one, he swung at a pitch on the outside and couldn't do much with it and rolled it to the SS.

It's been almost a week since this thread has gotten bumped, so here you go

Sammy goes 3-for-4 with a run and an RBI in Texas' 14-2 win over New York today.

He's now hitting .277/.341/.527 (.868 ops) with 7 home runs and 24 RBI so far. Way to go Sammy.

He's doing way way better than I expected. That's for sure.

Yeah, he's totally exceeded my expectations. Too bad he's only trying to hit HRs.

Fixed, and I was on my way over to bump this for the same reason. Good to see his numbers still moving in the right direction.

Trade Floyd for Sammy.

 realistically though, i don't think you could ever convince Sammy to come back.

I'm pretty sure it would be the Cubs who wouldn't want Sammy back, not Sammy not wanting to come back. From what I heard (just a rumor, I have no idea if it's true or not), Sammy said he called the Cubs first when he decided to come back and they said they werent interested. Take it for what it's worth.

didn't sammy say in the sunday night conversation that he wanted to play for the cubs this season? he was campaigning for a call from hendry.

Sammy is looking mighty good right now and is proving a lot of his distractors wrong.

Sammy's line drive % still seems a bit low for him at 14%, but he's keeping the ball off the ground more.
