Meh...nothing special, yet he did have a nice change of pace in that 2nd inning.

I didnt see one. He got the last out one an offspeed pitch that didnt look like a curve.

It looked pretty good. He was dipping it down toward the knees with straight-down break. That's how he got Giles to ground back to the mound (middle of the plate, knee-high).

The 90-91mph is encouraging but before we get too excited, he was pitching against the bottom of the order. This next inning will be a test.

They added some spring training games (to the cable channel) late in the process, and Brenly already had family commitments that he didn't want to get out of. Brenly will broadcast all the games when the regular season starts, but only some of them during ST.

Prior had to get off the juice when they started testing..This is prolly how hard he throws naturally without it.

 

So you're saying he was on the juice in HS & college? Come on

 

No kidding... NCAA drug testing is pretty strict for top-level programs. I have friends who swam for Penn State, and they'd get out of the pool after practice and have someone waiting for them in the locker room to get a pee test. And that's just a swim team.
