Rotoworld on the Lewis signing:

Jamal Lewis-RB-Browns Mar. 7 - 9:23 pm et

Browns and Jamal Lewis have agreed to terms on an undisclosed contract.

So much for Adrian Peterson. This is a curious move by Browns GM Phil Savage, primarily because Lewis has averaged 3.47 yards per-carry the last two seasons since leaving jail. Lewis runs tentatively and has poor long speed. A shaky Browns offensive line won't help matters. Willis McGahee could now be on the way to Baltimore in a trade, and Reuben Droughns is headed to the bench or the waiver wire.

I'll agree with that.

I don't know that it rules out Adrian Peterson. Jamal could still be a very productive running back, but the likelihood is he should split time with somebody. If they draft AD, the two could split time and the backfield is set for years to come.

This is what I was trying to say earlier. I think you're expecting too much out of KK based off a few interceptions, OMC.

Wrong. Given our current secondary, ANYTHING is an improvement. Let's compare:

KK(2006, FS): 14 games, 63 tackles, 4 sacks, 6 int's

Josh Bullocks(2006, FS): 16 games, 71 tackles, 0 sacks, 2 int's

So basically, a part time player for the Bengals had a much better "playmaking" season compared to our current, full time free safety.

Just a note, Bullocks is 24 and Kaesviharn is 31. But, in KK's favor, he didn't start in Cincy primarily because he was stuck behind one of the top young safeties in the game, Madieu Williams.

Damn it Browns. The one place I didn't want BQ to end up at is Cleveland, but that signing sure opens the door for it.

Or JaMarcus if the Raiders are smart (unlikely) and take Calvin or trade down.

I'm under the assumption that Oakland will be dumb until further notice.

Yep, probably good thinking. :D

Since he was with the Bengals, the key question is how many arrests he's had. :D

Zero actually. The Saints also got their MLB Brian Simmons out of FA. He also had no arrests. The Saints are single handedly taking all their good boys away from them.

That must be why the Bengals let them walk. They just didn't fit in.

"The Ravens and Bills agreed to a trade Thursday that will send running back Willis McGahee to Baltimore in exchange for the team's third and seventh-round picks in this year's draft, along with the Ravens' third-round pick in 2008, league sources tell ESPN.com's Michael Smith."

I find that to be highly unlikely.

The Jamal Lewis fallout is complete.

Lewis to Cleveland.

Bills trade McGahee to Baltimore for a 2007 3rd and 7th rounder, and a 2008 3rd rounder.

Bills sign Corey Dillon.

BTW, the word is that Dre Bly is unhappy in Denver and that they are entertaining trade talks for him-reported by Michael Smith.

I don't understand why he would be unhappy. I think Denver is going to be really solid next year.

also changes the assumed "AP to CLE" draft pick at #3. Do they trade down now?

I'm not sure about that-I think that might be too high of a price for McGahee, but only time will tell that.

I'd think they'd trade down. I don't see them going crazy for Calvin Johnson. They could take Brady Quinn. But they could get a couple great picks for the #3 (NE trade up to get Johnson for their 2 firsts?), and pick up Stanton/Smith for QB and can pick up a decent RB prospect and help out the OL.

Of course, it would take a wise team to do that.....Cleveland is not that type of team.

I saw some speculation from a Washington Post writer on a redskins forum that mentioned a possible deal where Denver sends Bly their #1, #2/3 for the #6 pick overall. Washington would then send Springs to the Lions for something like a 2nd rounder and use their picks (they have none of their own at the moment besides the #6 until the 5th round I believe) to trade up high enough to get Okoye. The reported hitch in the deal may be that Denver wants Ladell Betts.....for some reason.

Equivalent to a mid 2nd rounder or so worth of picks. Mcgahee aint great, but Baltimore definitely did upgrade a position in the short and long term.

How is sean springs worth a 2nd rounder???

I don't think he is but the Lions may be pressured to add some kind of talent to that secondary. This is speculation, though, with the basis being Washington wanting more picks than just the #6 and late round stuff.

How is he unhappy in Denver already????

This part is speculation-I've heard that the Lions promised him that they'd trade him closer to his family who lives in Virginia, and he wasn't happy when he heard that he was traded a lot farther away.

No, they'll go with Brady Quinn or JaMarcus Russell.

Rams just signed TE Randy McMichael. The offense is freaking loaded.

Hopefully they address the D-Line because scoring points wasn't our problem last year.

Bulger

Holt-Bruce-Bennett

McMichael

Jackson

Yikes.
