Mind as well post one of these with Free Agency and trades starting very shortly.

One very interesting rumor today is Randy Moss for Aaron Rodgers. Apparently Oakland wanted a 1st rounder from the Pack, but Thompson put Rodgers in the deal instead of the 16th overall pick.

Panthers cut DE Al Wallace the other day. They also would stand to add $3M in cap room if they were to waive DeShaun Foster, but I doubt they will do that.

Also of note, the Ravens waived Jamal Lewis today.

Pro Football Talk said that the Ravens still would have interest in bringing Lewis back, but only for somewhere along $2 million for one year.

I'll take it. Just get rid of Moss and draft Calvin Johnson.

Oh, and I am SO unbelievably happy that Aaron Brooks is no longer on the team.

Oakland fans on their Scout board are reporting that the Raiders and Packers have reached a tentative agreement that would send Moss to the Packers for a 2nd round pick in 07 and a draft pick in 08. This source is coming from a radio station called KNBR.

Hopefully this is true :D

Charles Tillman is pleased.

I would take that also. I figured they could get a second rounder from some team. I don't know how reputable KNBR is as far as reporting rumors but they are the major sports radio station out here.

I think this might a very eventful off season for the NFL. I wonder what Houston could get for Carr and if their are too many QB's out there to get what they could in a down year for him. He may be the steal of the whole off season.

Why not go after Carr and use the 1st pick on Johnson? That's what I would do.

David Carr might retire, that's why-he went from one of the worst lines in history to go to another of the worst lines in history-that would be some of the worst luck for him I've ever seen if that happened :D

The Colts are expected to release Brandon Stokley-he's been speculated to be one of the top FA wide receivers because the FA receiving class is so weak. The Colts would have been paying him a whole lot of money in the next 3 years, and with the Colts liking to go with 2 tight ends and Stokely being injured a pretty good amount, it just came down to him not being really worth it.

Ha...you're probably right! I'd go CJ and then line line line if I were the Raiders.

Didn't Manning give the Colts a little salary relief too or was that another QB?

Yeah, although it really was an accounting move that was expected since the day that he signed the contract. Basically, he had a 10 million dollar roster bonus, which was going to count all against the cap, and they converted it to a signing bonus, and now only 2 million of it will count against this year's cap.

Thanks for the help-guess I started thinking faster than I typed. I have edited it now.

Wow, what a terrible deal for Detroit, Millen strikes again.

Seriously. Getting Bly was his one great move and he just undid it.

i think it'sa good move. he improves his o-line and running back depth while somewhat weakening his secondary.

now, i'd look for detroit to trade down and take hall.

Bly's the extreme risk-taker-he'll create plenty of turnovers for you, but he can be burnt from time to time as well. I see this as a pretty even deal actually-Detroit gets possible pieces they can try out for the future, while Denver gets a piece they needed now-I doubt Detroit was going to re-sign Bly after the season anyway, so to get two possibly good pieces for him is a pretty good move, and Denver gets a piece they need now without giving up any of their core.
