This one may have had the cooler ending but remember how crappy this game was at the beginning? So many mistakes early in the game with Thompson fumbling and throwing picks left and right. This game didn't get good until the fourth quarter.

 

Not to mention that Texas-USC was for the National Title and featured, quite possibly, the greatest single game performance ever.

 

watching USC making the same defensive mistake - blitzing weak side - over and over isn't exciting.

 

I'm sorry but nobody was stopping Vince Young that game. Nothing USC did defensively worked and I'm sure they didn't do the exact same thing every time.

 

ETA: It was sure fun to see Paul Thompson suck for most of the game as well.

I almost forget that OU tied the game with 1:20 left on their third try on two point conversion. then we had a pick 6 . . . wow.

I thought there were a couple of those during this game.

 

Who cares though...it set up an unbelievable ending. Unbelievable.

 

I really wish I had recorded it. After that Bears game last night, I'm glad there was a game this weekend that lived up to my hopes...hell...it exceeded my hopes by about a billion times....

that had to be the best game I have ever personally watched. Sure the band game was fun and flutie hail mary were nice but I never watched em live so they didnt really have the same effect. There been over great games as well vince vs usc ohio state vs miami but I still think I got more enjoyment out of watching Boise State beat Oklahoma in that game then any other I have seen.

Man, what a game! I missed the whole sequence in which Oklahoma cam back. I fell asleep with Boise up 28-10 and woke up right after Oklahoma scored to go up 35-28. Then of course Boise State come marching right back. Go Me!

 

Also, anyone get the feeling Boise let them score right away? Kind of saying, our offense is so hot, lets get them on the field right away.

I donno if its ever smart to let some one score the td in OT and Oklahoma has had success running on the outside against Boise State but they sure did score fast but I dont think it was planned.
