Sheesh. The only thing worse than that Thurs. matchup is the guy who will be doing the play-by-play.

I seriously just got a cold shiver when I read that. Oh my god he is so awful.

You can't get much worse than Bryant Gumbel. Still, it's pretty sad that the winner of the game on Thursday is going to have a chance at the postseason.

He's worse then awful. I don't really have words to describe it. I like Collinsworth though (assuming you were talking about Gumbel)

I've always really enjoyed Collinsworth. I haven't heard any of the NFL Network games so far, but I can only imagine how bad Bryant would be.

I hope the Bears send out their starters for one more week. If the Lions lose out, they get the No. 1 pick no matter what Oakland does. :)

I guessing they'll put out half the starters this week and half next week or something like that...so they can get guys rested but try to keep the rythm for others.

Well he called the playclock the shotclock this past week. That was fun.

That's high comedy.

How bout this one...

Watching the Lions/Packers game on Sunday. Ron Pitts was doing the game. There were 4 of us and we all swear he said this. He referred to one of the players from the University of Vagina instead of Virginia. No really we swear he said that.

What is the tiebreaker?

SOS. The Lions' schedule is weaker, so they are "worse".

I'm amused that an Eagles team that lost its starting quarterback for the year, blew a 17 point 4th quarter lead against a divisional opponent, and lost on a 62 yard field goal, can win the division by winning their last two games. It won't happen, but it's still pretty funny.

Yeah 2-12 in the NFC is worse than 2-12 in the AFC.

That, and all the commercials for this match up. Wow, last Lambeau leap for Favre?

Yea, this year also happens to have the FIRST Lambeau Leap for Favre. Really not something he did too often.

I don't want to create a whole new thread for this, because it's something small that struck me funny, so I'll put it here.

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/football/nfl/12/20/bc.fbn.patriots.stubhub.ap/index.html

That article is an article about the Patriots and Stubhub countersuing one another over tickets. Patriots say Stubhub encourages scalping which is against state law, and Stubhub says the Patriots are using monopolistic practices.

The funny part is that there is a keyword advertisment that is trying to sell me New England Patriots Monopoly.

It just struck me funny.

Green Bay -3.5 tonight

They should destroy tonight.

They've got a good shot at beating the Bears next weekend, too. Bears are playing for nothing at this point---no matter what anyone says, it's hard to maintain that edge.

Posted

Bears fans, you are probably fretting about who to root for in tonight's game.

I have a solution:

Vote for a tie, and watch both teams get knocked out of the playoffs at once!
