Tommie Harris left the stadium with a brace on his knee and his leg immobilized.

Isn't sprained knee usually just the precursor to "MRI shows a torn ACL/MCL"?

This was NOT just a Grossman issue today. It's just wasn't. Berrian was a big reason for that INT on the deep ball, as was Turner. As I said, the receivers weren't getting open. The playcalling did not help Grossman out at all. And they still barely threw the ball.

Am I the only one who totally disagreed with the announcers in that it was a bad decision to go to Berrian there? He was one on one and getting separation. The throw was bad, the wind didn't help, and Berrian not contesting the pick more didn't either, but I didn't think it was a bad decision as they kept trying to say.

no. I and others agree with you 100%.

Personally, I have a lot of friends from Miami who are Dolphins fans, and they just go on about how terrible Griese is, so maybe I'm a bit biased.

yeah, he played five games for the dolphins and had his worst qb rating as a pro during that year. Not exactly a great way to judge a guy's career.

Not a bad decision. Just didn't get thrown quickly enough to be within Rex's range.

Geez :(

Yeap. Lovie says it's a sprained knee. I'm thinking there's a good chance we just lost Tommie for the year.

It was Grossman's vision on that play. Clark was wide open on and he was right in the line of sight of Rex. Why throw a pass that deep in these conditions is beyond me.

Isn't one of the best things about having such a good defense is that we can afford Rex the opportunity to play out of his funk?

If he does it against a good team the Bears defense might not be able to save the team.

he also had a wide open Bernard Berrian streaking down the sideline. it was a bad ball, not a bad decision.

I think that if 2 weeks from tomorrow Rex is still in the pits and not looking significantly, you don't choose whether or not to bench him, you HAVE to. That said, I think that the Bears would be lucky to get passed the 2nd round of the playoffs with Griese. They're basically screwed if Rex can't even come close to getting it together.

THEY DON'T ALL HAVE TO BE BOMB SHOTS, REX.

Nope. That would be too late. You need to find out NOW if Griese will be better, otherwise you go into the playoffs with a cold QB.

No good.

Has to happen now or never.

That would still leave 2 games before the playoffs and it's not like Griese is some green kid. Yeah, it's short on the time to gel but I think it might still be enough time to let some adjustment take place. But hey, my opinion is that the Bears are pretty much done overall in the playoffs if Rex can't at least be average, Griese or no Griese. They need the flashes of awesomeness that Rex has shown to be a truly powerful team all around, not Griese's capable but ultimately non-threatening greasiness.

The vikings had 3 times as many yards as the bears. The vikings received 5 turnovers from the bears. The bears won by 10

That doesn't happen often (ever?)

I've never seen a team with a QB posting a 1.3 QB rating win handily.

That speaks to the Bears D turnover munchiness.

And the Vikings' overall junkiness.

:( Whenever I play Madden, on defense, I usually start out every play w/ being Harris.

When's the last time we had a QB with only 34 total passing yards in a game?

Last year?

EDIT - Sorry, that was 68 LOL

seems like something henry burriss could have done

Somehow, he managed to get 78 in that one start he had against Tampa.
