I think the reason that I not more upset about this is the following:

1) Da Bears

2) Da Bulls

3) Michigan Football, on their way to National Title?

Not if the mighty Ball State Cardinals have anything to say about it next week.....oh my goodness thats going to be bad. Has a football team ever won a game by more than 100 points?

Michigan's offense isn't that great. Plus Lloyd Carr just runs the ball when he plays physically overmatched teams. Probably will only be a 30 point win by scUM.

I predict 56-10 if Manningham plays, and I'd be shocked if he does.

45-10 if he doesn't.

I'll be there so I'll be sure to report back on how much my friends and I are made fun of.

Let us known how many Michigan fans are condescending to you and act like they're God's gift to the world because they go to The Harvard Of The West.

I am a Cub fan.

I DO NOT hate any team. I don't care who wins the World Series unless it is the Cubs playing in it.

I see no reason -- douchebag fans or not -- to despise another team.

What about douchebag players and/or coaches?

Same rules apply. . . their douchebaggery is their problem.

I simply feel like it's more important to put your energy into supporting your team rather than degrading the opposition.

What if your team is horrible and is managed by Dusty Baker?

What I want to know is why fans of every team in the NL Central have this bitter hate for us for some reason.

1. Lots of Cubs fans go to their parks and act like a-holes.

2. Unbearable smugness during the pre-injury Wood/ Prior era, when we all thought the Cubs would dominate the division for the rest of the decade.

Actually its because of all of the hot babes we pull down.

Say, that reminds me:

3. We're completely delusional.

speak for yourself. I'm drowning in hot babes over here.

I'm sure your wife just loves that. :)

She's somewhere in the chick pile. I can barely type, seriously.

I'll admit that my first draft of my previous post in this thread looked more like Truffle's than my final copy.

No way Ball State scores 10 points, even if Michigan has their subs the whole second half. I'm also a Ball State student and I like Ball State....but this is going to be brutal. I predict 56-3.

congrats cards!! As much as I hate you guys you proved that the central wasn't as bad as they looked. Who knows if we were there we would have won. This at leat gives us some concession that we beat these guys in the regular season.

WAIT TILL NEXT YEAR it will be our year!!

I've been trying to figure out a way to post here and not sound like an $%#...

For the first time as an adult my team has won the World Series. It really does close the wounds of past failures and dashed playoff dreams. I'm going to celebrate and enjoy every second of it.

The Cubs ARE going to win a World Series. When they do, you folks will have more to celebrate than any other fans in the sport. I don't know if I could have stuck with them for the last 4 years, much less the past 98. When it happens I'll raise a beer and salute you. Not the Cubs, but the fans who deserve to feel just once in their life that they are a part of a championship.

I know that this post will ring hollow, but I do mean it.

my wife was supposed to have our first baby on friday by induction. i was really hoping the tigers would help me out and prevent these two events from happening on the same day. we know they didnt but thankfully, mom held out for a few more hours and our son wasn't born on black friday.

i'm becoming undecided on how to raise him baseball wise. it would be nice to have someone to commiserate with, as i am the one blue speck in a family that is all red, but maybe i should just let grow up happy.

commiseration and the lack of guilt for making him a Cub fan

It doesn't ring hollow, and I appreciate the sentiment. Do me a favor, though. When the Cubs are on the verge again, whenever that may be, root against them. I want the full victory experience, and that includes disappointed Cards fans.

We now resume our regularly scheduled sulking.

There will be more then enough dissapointed Cards fans when the Cubs win, not to include ManEatingTarp.
