Isn't Jared the younger one?

My hatred for the Cardinals is at an all-time high. Jeff Weaver pitches like Cy Young all postseason. Molina hits like Babe Ruth. The Tigers basically give the Cardinals the Series with all the ridiculous errors. Everything went right for the Cardinals. Ugh.

Yes he was also wearing all cardinal gear in the crowd. They will always be Anaheim.

Seriously? "Ain't no other man" for Jeff Weaver?

Fox, you are the root of all that is wrong with the world. The cause of terrorism and global warming.

Bring me Rupert Murdoch so I can kick him in the balls.

So...uh, hot stove, anyone?

Seriously, Preston Wilson just won a world series ring.

Scott Spiezio has two.

You know what totally sucks?

My wife went to high school with Spiezio, had another friend who played on the Sox, and I went to high school with Tony LaRussa's nephew.

I agree. They could have thrown Dennis Eckersley in there and he would have pitched like Cy Young. I hate the freaking Deadbirds. There is a large concentration of their (fairweather) fans in this area and they're going to be absolutely insufferable now.

Man, I hate baseball so much. Freakin' 83 win team winning the world series. The Cubs will win 143 games and lose the World Series before this ever happens again. I also don't know if anyone mentioned this yet, but the Cards won a World Series at their new park in its first year of exsistence, and the Cubs still haven't won at Wrigley. I hate life.

All I can do is laugh.

And take some hope away from these past three years. If the Red Sox and White Sox can break their historic title droughts, the Cubs can do it. If the Cardinals can play like garbage all season long but win a lousy division with 83 wins and catch fire in the playoffs, the Cubs can do that too.

I remember Atlanta fans running some smack on the Cubs in 2003 when they had 103 wins and the Cubs only 88. Well, we saw how that went. 1987 Twins....hey we've got new blood in the dugout and it doesn't take much to win our division. Let's get it done in 2007.

And I haven't even had a sip of booze tonight, shows you how blue tinted my glasses are.

UK, it must be just because you're actually in Chicago that you don't have to deal with Card fans, cuz I can tell you down here, it's about an even mix of Cards and Cubs fans...although I imagine the bandwagon fans have things tilted in the Cards direction these days.

Hell my in-laws are all Card fans...and I'm going to see too much of them the next couple of days.

Not to mention going to work on Monday.

I am about to head out for the night in Chicago...I guarentee you I will run into a LOT of Cards fans tonight...and they will be vocal

I was down in Bloomington last weekend, there's a higher % of Cards fans in that bunch than Cubs fans. Towards me, they have been more than civil.

I feel so good right now!

Nothing like coming onto a Cubs board to rub it in. Classy move crap bag.

Especially since he whined about how bad his team was all year.

This is just so weird. The Cardinals just weren't that good this year. If they can win the World Series, why can't the Cubs win it once in 100 years? It seems to me that in a century, the Cubs could have just, maybe you know, "accidently" have won the World Series one year.

And now Eckstein wins a Corvette Z06 that he can't see over the steering wheel.
