Somehow, someway, despite the Sycamores shooting 61 percent from the field (63 from 3) in the 2nd half compared to 41 (29 from 3) for BSU, the Cards pull out a 73-70 win over Indiana State in overtime. The officiating in this game rivals the worst reffing job I've ever seen in my life, but D'Andre Peyton's 3-ball with 12 seconds left gets the job done anyway.

 

Next up is what should be top-15 ranked Butler at Hinkle on Wednesday, and I'm going.

NU deserves a top 10 ranking by association now.

 

Welsh-Ryan is getting a $4 million makeover next year. About half of that goes towards new locker rooms while the other half goes towards remodeling the lobby. And I sure am glad they decided to scrap the ridiculous idea of expanding seating.

haha just watched that play by Colon in the K-State game... a fine way to kick of the unmitigated disaster that will be the bob thuggins era

 

KSU Sucks.. We won some games with this group last year, and were in almost every single game... Who the hell knows what Huggins has done to this team. I'm not giving up on him yet, only 7 games into the season, but christ I'm disappointed.

SIU beat a good Saint Louis squad, 65-56. Saint Louis plays UNC at STL in a couple of weeks and I wouldn't be surprised if they give UNC a game. Our D really took away their big guy and our offense actually had a good game as well. This game probably should've been a blowout but the refs absolutely SUCKED. Out of all of the college games that I have been to, these refs were by far the worst refs I think I have ever seen. It's a miracle that we nearly won by double digits.

 

SIU has a week off before we go to Western Kentucky next Saturday.

they just showed a graphic during the UI game- the next 6 Duke games are on ESPN 1 or 2. nothing like a little help recruiting.

 

zona is getting quite a few questionable calls in the paint.

The most absurd part of that isn't the fact that all those Duke games are on ESPN but that they're showing it during an ILLINOIS-ARIZONA GAME.

you can't win a basketball game when your opponent shoots 25 more free throws than you....i guess i shouldn't say can't, but it makes it damn near impossible.

I thought Illinois looked good today. Missing our two best players, playing a good Arizona in Arizona, playing 5 vs 8. Oh and McBride sucks.

 

They did play well without Randle and Smith. The team will improve throughout the season. I just thought it was very pathetic at how quick they blew their big lead.

 

And yeah, McBride is awful.

Well there were some horrible momentum crushing calls. The "charge" on Pruitt cost us 5 points, as Arizona answered with a two. Also the foul where McClellum jumped into our guy on his three point play, we will get better as the year goes on.
