Yeah, U-Dub is brutal on the road. I can't see them doing better than 2-3 the rest of the way.

Ugh, I wanted seven Pac-10 schools in the tournament.

Yeah, seven would have been nice but six will still be good. Washington will need to win the Pac-10 tournament to get in at this point. Stanford should get in barring a complete collapse down the stretch and a quick exit in the Pac-10 tourmament.

I'll tell you who I like as a sleeper - Winthrop. Undefeated in their conference, have one really good player, returned all but one starter off last year's team that almost beat Tennessee, and they're experienced (start 3 seniors and 2 juniors). Their only losses this year were to UNC by 7, Maryland by 11, Wisconsin by 3 in overtime, and aTm by 20 (only time they were blown out). I think if they win their conference tourney and get a good draw, they could go to the Sweet 16.

They would be if every sing;e gportscaster wouldn't have labeled them as such earlier this year. They are very good.

Darn... well, I picked them to beat Tennessee last year in the tourney, so I liked them first!

Problem for them is that since they didn't beat any of the good teams they played earlier(they still play Mo. State, but they're a bubble team), and the Big South is so terrible(29th of 32 Conferences in RPI) that they'll likely be in a situation like last year, having to beat a real good team in the first round(they're 3-4 against the RPI Top 200).

True, but they'll probably be better than a 15 seed like they were last year. Bracketology has them as a 12 right now, and if they finish out the year strong I don't see too many teams passing them that are that far down, so they would be at least a 13 in that scenario-facing a 4 or a 5 seed is a lot easier than facing a 2.

And the fact that they are undefeated in conference this year (they had 3 losses in conference last year) and that they have 3 less losses right now than last year won't hurt either.

Well, yes, if you want to what actually matters or something silly like that :D

True, but they're not out of the woods on that one yet. The 2nd and 3rd place teams(High Point and Coastal Carolina) each lost to them by 1 and 2 points respectively, and those two teams are who's left on Winthrop's conference schedule, plus Missouri St.

They should've been higher than a 15 seed last year too. I had them as an 11 in my personal rankings, and I'm pretty sure our mock committee had them no lower than 13.

Good to see the refs have picked up where they left off on their quest to ensure that ND goes to the NIT

Irish only trail by 4 despite it

Up 9 with 1:18 to go - at this point we'll have to miss some free throws to lose...

Haha, wow, you almost jinxed them. Pulled it off, but it shouldn't have been that close.

ND does that.

At Cincy next - SHOULD be a gimme as they're 1-10 in conference, but USF should've been a gimme too.

Not much bubble movement today.

Purdue gets the big win over IU which puts them in the drivers seat for a 4th Big 10 berth.

Providence missed on their chance to become a serious at large contender.

Stanford leads Oregon St. by 9 at home. They should hold on after OSU put up a good fight. They blow this lead, and they're in some trouble.

I'd like to take the time to thank whoever was in charge of Bracket Buster matchups for this weekend for matching BSU (RPI: 238) with Illinois State (RPI: 129). Oh yeah, and it's a road game. Might as well hang up the 20-point L now. I thought the whole point of this was to seed somewhat closely related teams together?

My guess is that after the TV games, they just decided to start picking names out of a hat to fill out the rest of the teams competing in the BB.
