Mizzou handily beats Texas Tech 71-58. The Tigers looked really good on all sides of the ball. Texas Tech was held scoreless in the first ~9:30 of the second half. I wanted to see a Bobby Knight flip out/double tech/ejection, but we only got a few flip outs (one when he slammed his white board down in the midst of a timeout with his players, and one where he was yelling with the refs for like 3 or 4 minutes during a time out. I was surprised he didn't get a T then). Great game by Mizzou.

How things have changed in the last 6 months. 6 months ago, I would have wanted Illinois to kill Purdue, but this IU-UI rivalry has become so intense very quickly, and I found myself rooting for freaking Purdue to win a game.

15-6, and in the top of the Big 12 at 4-2 after an 0-2 start. Today was ugly, but we got it done. Hope we play well at home vs Mizzou on Wednesday. I can't wait to watch. We MUST win that game because the road games after that are at Texas and at KU...

How things have changed in the last 6 months. 6 months ago, I would have wanted Illinois to kill Purdue, but this IU-UI rivalry has become so intense very quickly, and I found myself rooting for freaking Purdue to win a game.

IU beat Illinois a couple? more times in the Big 10 tournament. IU-Illinois has had some great, last-minute finishes over the last 4-5 years. While Illinois has won most of the games during the season, it still was intense-and from the atmosphere at Illinois last week, it seemed pretty intense to me. At least, I've seen a couple other Illinois home games, and the crowd wasn't nearly as intense as they were for the IU game.

Big game for Mizzou too. Pulling out a win in Manhattan and beating Nebraska at home gets us back to .500 and probably in the top half of the conference standings. If nothing else I hope the rematch has more flow, the near 60 foul, ~75 free throw fest was painful to watch.

All the real bad blood between these two programs surrounds a recruit, who decided to go to IU.

I was refferring to XZero's "exactly" in reply to your post. Sampson did violate NCAA rules, and he was caught. I wouldn't bet on it happening again. He has millions of reasons not to cheat. If he violates any rules, IU can void his contract, and he'll have a tough time finding work as good as what he has. Until there is any proof of anything going on at IU, you guys just sound like sore losers. Doesn't look like it is going to happen, but I hope your boys beat Bucky today.
