Projected BCS standings as of today.

1. OSU

2. USC

3. Florida

4. Michigan

5. Louisville

6. ND

7. Tennessee

8. Texas

9. West Virginia

10. Auburn

That's not too surprising. That's actually why early BCS standings have to be seen as only guides. For example, if Florida beats Auburn next week that will probably be enough to push them higher in the computers and pass USC. ND will start to drop closer to what the polls say as they continue to play the easy part of their schedule (although as teams lose that should counterbalance that effect). WV is getting killed in the computers because of their schedule (their opponents have a 5-19 record so far). As the weeks go on, look for most of the strange things to settle out-the interesting thing will still be WV. Can they rise in the computer rankings? They will definitely rise a lot higher than they are now in certain rankings, but they might even be ranked behind a couple 1 loss teams at the end in some computer rankings that award SOS so highly.

Manningham is out for this weeks PSU game and his return remains uncertain. Lloyd is suck a jackass when it comes to injuries, i dont understand the benefit of hiding injuries or the severity. One reporter commented before the knee surgery was public that he would just search the campus and see how mario was walking around. Lloyd said its a free country go ahead. Thats so dumb. This is Lloyds MO when it comes to injuries, it pisses me off.

Ty was like this as well. You couldn't get a straight answer out of him if you asked what he had for lunch this afternoon, so much so that Nick Setta, then-kicker, disappeared from the Notre Dame team after the opening kickoff against Pitt in 2003 and never returned, and so far as I know, no one still knows what happened. (The excuse was a leg injury, but there was never anything to suggest that he was hurt.)

Sounds a lot like another team I love...

If those rankings somehow held to form, I would argue that Florida vs. Michigan would be a far more entertaining game than tO$U vs. USC

It would probably end up being Florida vs. ND...the Sugar Bowl has the SEC champ if they don't make the title game, plus the first at-large selection.

If ND doesn't get the string of lucky breaks necessary to put them in the title game, I would love to see them beat the SEC champ instead. Better yet, I'll be greedy and hope for both.

Louisville has just as good of a chance to run the table as WVU does in the Big East.

I'd love to see the SEC champ or SEC second place team or SEC third place team for that matter expose ND for the mediocre team they are.

Yeah this couldn't possibly be why I'd want to see ND beat that overhyped conference.

I actually think ND would match up better with SEC teams because ND's weakness is their defense and the SEC isn't known for having potent offenses. ND-Florida and ND-Auburn would be good games. I think Tennessee would pose a bigger threat to ND than any other SEC team.

The SEC is no way nearly as over-hyped as ND is.

Here's the thing. Sure, ND hasn't looked nearly as good as their hype (I've been disappointed by their inconsistency). How have they looked any worse than say Auburn though? Here's the breakdown:

Both have one big blowout loss at home-Notre Dame to a top 10 team, Auburn to a top 20 team

Both have had one scary game against a mediocre to poor team at their place where the other team had to make mistakes in order for the team to win-Auburn at SC, ND at MSU

Both have a close win over a top 20 team-ND at GT, Aub home against LSU

Other then those 3 comparisons, ND has beaten Stanford, Penn State, and Purdue comfortably

Auburn has done the same to Wash State, Mississippi State, and Buffalo.

Looking at that-how is Auburn supposedly so much better than ND?

It's official. 1:00, no TV

It seems to be the year of the Tiger.....Woods, Detroit and maybe Missouri?

I hope so, although it didn't help our volleyball team much last night. Stupid 8 foot tall Canadians.

I know that ND's strength of schedule is a favorite topic every year, but can I point out that Penn State is about to play it's 3rd top-4* team in 7 games?
