Ronaldo hasn't been able to harness that aggressiveness in the last 25+ minutes. He's had some chances, but he's been rather reckless.

Just watched this game at the bar. Utd were never really threatening. They had a couple opportunities in the 2nd half but nothing that troubled Dida much. Also, I love Vidic but he looked a step slow today. I'm not sure if that was just the match-up with Kaka or the time away from matches.

As a United fan it's disappointing, I wanted to see a Battle Royale between MU and Chelski with 3 important matches this month. Looks like we might only get one, but at most two. Oh well, on to the Double!

I agree that AC Milan will be strongly favored in Athens.

I would think Milan is the favorite to take home the championship in Athens in a few weeks.

Just like two years ago ;-). If they can repeat that final I would be very happy. It has to be one of the greatest Cup Championships ever.

I have a feeling this could be the biggest blowout final in a long while for the Champions League. Milan definitely remembers 2 years ago, and they likely won't let up, even if they get a 3 goal lead.

Tomorrow, May 4th, marks the 58th anniversary of the Superga tragedy, in which the 'Grande' Torino team - the most successful in the world at that time, and arguably ever, were killed in a plane crash at Superga, near Turin.

If you know nothing about the team, it is a fitting time to learn about them, and if you do know about them, its a fitting time to think about them.

i'm not familar with the story but i just read up a little on it. very sad. football has had so many disasters. munich '58, hillsborough, heysel, countless stampedes in africa and south america.

In an old 'Books' thread somebody mentioned a good soccer book that they had read (I have no idea what the title was). I think it was a history of soccer book but I might be wrong. I realize that I'm being extremely vague with my description of the book but if anybody remembers it, can you tell me the title? Thanks.

Probably not what you're looking for, but "How Soccer Explains the World" by Franklin Foer is a pretty good read. Relates political/social situations in different places and how they are manifested in soccer in those places.

Bingo. That's what it was. I had that title in my mind but I couldn't remember for sure. Thanks.

Man U took town Man City 1-0 today to all but wrap up the Premiership title. Chelsea will now have to win out and hope Man U loses to West Ham in the final game of the year.

chelsea 1 arsenal 1

manchester united clinched the title with an 8 point lead with 2 games to go. i was really looking forward to the chelsa-man u match this wednesday, but now its completely worthless. hopefully the blues can still bring home the first fa cup at the new wembly.

i'm prediciting big changes for chelsea this summer. first, mourhino will be fired and some serious turnover of the roster.

Maurinho are you listening?

Will you keep our trophy glistening?

We'll be back in May

To take it away

Walking in a Fergie Wonderland!

I kinda would have liked to see MU win it on the field at Stamford Bridge, but having Chelsea applaud them onto the pitch will be sweet as well.

Looking forward to the FA Cup final now.

Rolfe scored his 3rd goal of the year, but the Fire suffered a disappointing 3-1 loss at Gillette Stadium for their first loss of the year.

I would have liked to see Chelsea win today if for no other reason than to make Wednesday's game between Chelsea and Man U interesting. It's not likely that either team will field its top squad. Oh well, there's still the FA Cup final to look forward to.

Just got my tickets through for England A vs Albania at Burnley in a couple of weeks. I'm not a massive England fan, but it'll be a good experience for a few reasons.

- I've never been to Turf Moor, despite its proximity, and it is where my club won their FA Cup Semi-Final the only time they went on to lift the trophy.

- I'm hopeful of a performance from Ledley King, who is massively under-rated.

- It prolongs the end of the football season a little bit.
