Looks like Ronaldo's career is over.

it's probably for the better, really. He's been sorely disappointing due to a lack of fitness for so long that it's better to just end it than to continue frustrating everyone with little flashes of ability followed by niggling injuries that go on forever.

His career might have ended a little young, but considering he was 17 at his first WC on the bench for Brazil in '94. First of 3 POY at age 20 and a 5 year gap between his 2nd and 3rd. What he did in 2002 after the major surguries he had was magical. During his peak he might have been the most dominant player of the last 25 years.

Here you go here is a youtube clip that shows how ridiculous Ronaldo

I forgot how stupid his hair was in 2002, but Brazil are probably a Quarterfinal team at best without him.

I was just coming to post about this.

Bittersweet because he was so brilliant but such a shadow of his former self in the last few years.

At least this will prevent some MLS club from spending stupid money on him.

Seep Blatter has vowed to block the EPL's bid to stage matches around the world, and has stated this simply won't happen while he is the president.

Less than 48 hours till Arsenal-ManU FA Cup. :yahoo:

Sepp blatter can mind his own effing business. That guy has built such a corrupt organization it's sick.

And note that I'm against the EPL matches-around-the-world idea, I just think Sepp is a douche.

Do you know on which channel this match is going to be televised?

There are reports out of England that DIC are going to buy Liverpool from Gillette and Hicks sometime next month. Liverpool fans will be happy if this happens because they hate the Americans.

We'll, us Americans hate David Beckham, and England can have that [deleted], back.

Everton boss David Moyes will have to come up with £4.5m ($9 million) for Heerenveen midfielder Michael Bradley.

Possible Champions League action next year; sweet. I love Moyes too. I think it'd be a great situation for Michael.

Landon gets a taste of Euro-style training.

Tomorrow is Juve-Roma in the battle of who can keep within distance of Inter. 2:30 est on FSC I believe? Seth can correct me if I'm wrong.

HAhahahahahahahah Liverpool.

2-1 Barnsley or Farnsley or whatever. Rafa Benitez sucks at life. But I'm sure it's actually Tom Hicks' fault that the Travelling Circus of Failure lost a home FA Cup tie.

Check it, wvbcxl:

US Under-17 midfielder Jared Jeffrey has put pen to paper with Belgian giants Club Brugge, signing a three-year deal plus options with the Jupiler League leaders.

4-0 Man United in the 87th minute. I read yesterday on soccernet.com that Arsenal was going to be without a bunch of key players but this is insane.

Juve-Roma in 25 minutes.

Nothing on the team's website so far, but with tomorrow's big clash taking the spotlight that's hardly surprising.

I like this move; it means the team liked what they saw when he was with them in winter mini-camp. :D

Could be a good move for the player too, if he fits the team's style (which is usually described as "workmanlike" 8-) )

If he does, the Bue Army will adore him.

Laurens and I will be in the top left hand corner of that stand tomorrow.

I DVR'd the Liverpool-Barnsley match and am watching it now and it's amazing how many quality chances Liverpool has blown in this game. They should be up 3-1 or 4-1 right now.

it annoys me that every dumb kid with a basketball will spend hours perfecting his "put the ball in his shirt and spin it around" dribble move, or whatever other And 1 nonsense he sees on espn2, but soccer hasn't taken off when you can do even more ridiculous moves in the context of the actual game.
