That Cook is a real friendly looking charchter, no? Makes me wonder what the CUBS' record is against ugly starting pitchers ??

Rich Hill in Colorado?

Hoo boy.

Coors field isn't near as much of a hitter's park as it once was. Humidor.

Curveballs are still affected, though, even if the batted ball isn't traveling as far as it used to go.

Good luck to Hill!

Fred, or anyone else for that matter-

Do you have the piching rotation extrapolated through the end of the season? By any chance do you know who is pitching the three games in Atlanta on Sept. 8, 9, & 10?

Thanks

Thats not possible to know given we aren't 100% sure who's starting tomorrow or whether Prior is going to make his next start.

I realize we can't be 100%, I was just curious as to the projections considering I will be there. I am going to be there anyway, I was just curious if Fred had a spreadsheet on that as well.

well i think i have got it narrowed down for those 3 days...depending on prior and his status, my guess is either z, marmol, guzman, prior or hill with mateo and marshall as outside possibilities- does that help?

sorry my dry sense of humor plays better at the end of a 7-1 loss than here....

Why don't they use a humidor to make the balls heavier in all the live parks? Isn't this giving favortism to one team? How about using the humidor at Wrigley field when the wind is blowing out?

In case you are unaware, there is a lot of money being bet on baseball games and the total runs scored is one of the options. If the "doctored" ball can keep the runs down, do you suppose that someone betting on the total could get these balls in play at another live park? What makes these balls different and how can you tell the difference? Just wondering!
