So following the tremdous rain and thunder tonight, An old fashioned doubleheader coming up. THese are always fun and enjoyable and typically memorable for one reason or another. Cubs look to win both and make a good point to begin August.

 

If someone could post the auto updating radar screen on page 1 it would be most appreciated.

That is what Len and Bob said last night that both games would be on WGN. We shall see, but I certainly hope so. (The only reason I'm not sure is that once or twice the schedule has changed and they didn't show both games-but I doubt that will happen this time.)

From what I have heard, this is not a day/night doubleheader-so yes, I think that the second game should start around then.

is it just me or do doubleheaders highlight the weaknesses of the manager? Lots of lineup decisions, you have to manage the bullpen for two games in a day?

Are you serious? At anypoint in which the time has "p.m." listed directly after it is not even possible for it to be too early to drink. You can make a case for certain times in the "a.m.", but NEVER in the "p.m." In addition, with the way this season has gone; I believe all time related drinking bans have been lifted.

How do doubleheaders that are back to back work, ticket wise? Me and my friends had tickets to last nights game (got completely soaked) so would we only be able to get refunds, while the people with tickets to todays game get two games for the price of one?

Yep.

 

With short series with non-divisional teams and with games later in the season, rainouts become problematic for the team to reschedule and for ticketholders. That's without considering the various restrictions the Cubs operate under in terms of scheduling games.
