Is Jeff Marquis Jason's long lost twin brother?

Marquis has a horrible ERA, yet is 5 games over .500. Looks like the bats come alive when he pitches. Pujols the first to hit 3 grand slams in the first inning of a game?

He's actually either real good, or mind-bendingly bad. But yeah, run support has been Jason's friend.

Wow thats gonna be spectacular if he can do that, especially if he hits in his ordinary 3 spot

A THREE HOUR TOUR!

...sorry, I had to make that joke the moment I saw Len and Bob wearing those hats. :D

They look to be better-constructed than the floppy hats of recent years.

For those who are actually looking at the game thread for their only updates, there is one out in the second.

The Cardinals went down 1-2-3 in the first, the Cubs squandered a leadoff double by Pierre. Still scoreless.

What a difference watching Marshall or Marmol pitch then watching Hill. Both of these pitchers want it! You can see it in their eyes. Hill just looks plain scared...

Seriously dude, this is unnecessary. It's obnoxious and troll-like. No one was talking about Hill vs. Marmol and Marshall in here. You brought it up.

Please knock it off.

I don't see the problem here. He was making an observation on the agressiveness and pitching styles of the young guys. And in my opinion he's right.

I do think Hill should be starting for the rest of the year so he gets a chance to get comfortable in the majors. As has been brought up a lot, not all guys have that level of confidence to succeed right away.

I'm not a long-time Rich Hill fan; I would like to see him figure it out at the MLB level because it would be best for the Cubs if he did so.

I think it's silly to imply that Hill doesn't "want it." I'd guess that he wants it pretty badly. He obviously needs to change his approach at the MLB level ... and it should be the priority of Rothschild and others there to help him do so.

I went to Marshall's debut game because it was his debut game. He looked pretty nervous facing Pujols the first time on national tv (and ended up walking him, then giving up a bomb to Rolen). Marshall sure wasn't immune to nerves. It's natural to be nervous. I do agree that Hill's body language changes when he gets into a bad situation, and that's something else that hopefully can be overcome with experience.
