I hope the Tigers make the playoffs too, but count me in as a member of the Twins bandwagon! I was born in St. Paul and my best friend is a Twins fan, so they've been my American League team for quite a while. They might not end up making the playoffs, but they've been on a hell of a run. With Liriano, Santana, Mauer and Morneau, they have the cornerstones to be good for a few years. Also, Cuddyer has had a breakthrough year, Joe Nathan is a great closer, and Juan Rincon a very reliable setup man. I am pretty sure that with their Big Two, the Twins are a team that nobody will want to face in the playoffs.

The Twins would be twice as entertaining to see in the playoffs as any other wildcard contender.

I'm surprised CubsBullsBears didn't start this thread.

That being said, I don't mind the Twins either. Both of my parents were born in Minnesota and a majority of my relatives still live there. I would rather see them make the playoffs than any other AL team except maybe the A's.

SUCK THE WHITE FOX!!!

TWINS RULE!!!

Dude, we should make shirts like that. With a Cubs fan sucking on a white fox!

They sell shirts that say that outside the park. Check the idiot fan shirts thread in rants. I posted a pic of the idiot fan shirts I got a pic of.

How bad to Giant fans have to feel every time they see Liriano go out and dominate hitters for the Twins? Worst trade ever.

Or when Liriano goes out and dominates for 8 innings, and then Nathan works a 1-2-3 9th for the save. It really would be a challenge to make a trade worse than that. Was Isiah Thomas the Giants' GM at the time?

After yesterday's 12K performance, I think it should be further emphasized:Liriano = 06 AL ROY. He'll face competition in Verlander, but the Lir-jet is a filthy stud.

12-2 1.96ERA 137K/32BB 0.96 WHIP in 115 IP

I drafted FL on two fantasy teams, and at first i was a bit perturbed that he was not immediately in the rotation. But considering the innings he's racking up, those months in the bullpen may keep him from hitting a wall down the stretch run.

Yeah, kinda sucks for Verlander though. Going back to 2000, his numbers this year would probably have won the AL ROY in every year except for Ichiro's first season.
